What are the motivations of Elon Musk?

He seems like an intelligent free-thinker, and based on any research you read the Paris Agreement was going to have, at best, a laughably minuscule/negligible effect on global temperatures over 100 years at an insane cost - to the tune of a percentage of a degree at a price in the trillions of dollars.
So, why would he support it. Diplomacy? Saving face?

He's built his entire empire on government assistance and subsidies and runs a personal debt and couldn't exist without constant influx of government money. He doesn't take out loans he doesn't pay back the government.
He would like the US to fund other entire countries now as well as his business. He will then no doubt go to those countries, and build businesses there for massive personal profit and no risk due to government grants and welfare.
OML's comparison to Lex is dead on.

What are the motivations of Elon Musk?
And yes. Smart people can come to wrong conclusions too because almost no one is smart and everything
This is the point I try to hammer on liberals all the time. I believe that they View problems and have come to incorrect conclusions on how to solve them
It would be nice if they did me the same courtesy
Yes Elon Musk is very smart. That doesn't make him infallible and it doesn't require that he has some ulterior motive when he's wrong

Not to go to jail and he will.

He wants to deliver us into a new Renaissance

He's basically a real life Lex Luthor.

He's a globalist cuck that gets tens of billions in tax payer subsidies.

A smart guy, capable of great things, but currently getting financed by the us government.

Is this the same Elon Musk that's the CEO of Tesla?

I was thinking a real life Hank Scorpio.
In all seriousness, he's a visionary that after money. For him to get the money that he's after he needs to tilt politics and industry to favor the sector that he basically owns. Accumulate wealth and power and then get your way; it's a motivation old as mankind.

He probably believes he will be part of the ruling "Global Elite" party when the NWO is fully implemented.

How much in subsidies does he get compared to, say, Chrysler, GM, and Ford?
Also, could and would these subsidies be offset by selling rockets to the US at a lower cost than Lockheed Martin or Boeing?

"Musk has come under fire previously for his liberal use of his private jet, which he upgraded last year from a Dassault Falcon 900 B to a Gulfstream G650 ER. It was reported in 2010 that Musk took private jets to Washington on at least 12 occasions over the course of two years to lobby the Department of Energy for a loan of $465 million, which Musk’s company Tesla was eventually granted."

This is nothing more than an attempt to save face in Silicon Valley. How dare he associate himself with DJT, a perceived climate denying, anti globalist, Red Stating Neanderthal?

Trump has enjoyed so many tax breaks and incentives/subsidies in his life too. His first major hotel had a 40-year tax abatement. Yet you guys only complain about Elon, and you say that Trump was just taking what was available. Different standards for different people.

Probably he thinks it is a good step and he's standing up for his beliefs and principles.
