Ok so I am my elderly father’s primary care taker . Yesterday he and I were diagnosed with Covid for the second time(first was almost a year ago on Feb 2022). I am absolutely NOT “vaccinated “ yet my Dad is. totally boosted up, the whole 9 yards and I really never had a problem with him getting them as he would be in a true risk of complications from Covid and he only has so many years left anyway to grapple with any negative consequences from taking the shots.

So I called my extreme leftist brother to give him an overview of the situation. He listened then went into some non-coherent emotional outburst about the vaccines and digging into me for not taking them, blah blah. I told him I wasn’t shooting that shite up into my veins and that was the hill I would die on. I cut him off after a little bit and said we would just have to settle to disagree on this. The gaslighting the left gives its adherents is astonishing. Even to this date. I said the “vaccines” have long been shown to hardly have any efficacy, and I wasn’t about to take any.

I parted ways on the call by saying to him that the left goes on about Nazi Germany but this shot BS is about as Nazi as it gets…and finally I dropped the mic and said “my body, my choice” then hung up.

Seriously, I wasn’t going to engage him on one of his rants but let’s look at the logic here. Do the shots work or not? If they work, then my Dad is vaxxed to the hilt and should not be getting Covid, twice, but my lack of “vax” simply should not dictate any efficacy of the shots he has taken. SO then the other choice is they simply don’t work…which is accurate…why in the Hell would I take a sketchy shot that doesn’t work? There is literally zero logic in the argument at this point. It’s so painfully obvious that the leftist justification hold no water. I just can’t believe a grown arse adult can’t see the fallacy and folly???

Sounds like you and your dad had the same survival rate regardless of vax status. You both did what you thought was right for yourselves also.

But you ended up doing so. Once he initiated his “non-coherent emotional outburst”—that should’ve been your cue to end the call.

I’ve learnt many left-leaning folks are feeling extremely defensive about their actions related to Covid. They’ve politicized the issue of civil rights to the point there’s little to no possibility of holding a rational conversation with ‘em.

Exactly…thanks! I have maintained the whole time that there is/was an element of high risk and elderly who probably derive some benefit from them and again at certain ages it takes certain concerns and such off the table I had in not taking the shots…but to still be clinging onto this vax thing is nuts, especially with what we know now. Trying to argue with an emotional leftist is a huge chore.

Well not really…by engaging in a chat, I meant by sitting down and going over multiple facts and points. I stayed on the periphery at best with my response.

Liberals do not do logic. No amount of clear-cut logic will penetrate their religious beliefs. In this case Covidian religion.

Thanks bro! We are geared up to face it head on. My immunity via vitamins firewall is holding strong for now. My Dad seems fine too…he is a super tough old bird!

The COVID 19 vaccine does not work.

Your brother is brainwashed. Many Americans are brainwashed.

The mRNA vaccine adverse affects can be dangerous. The point of these vaccines are to get your muscle cells near the injection site to produce the antigen (spiked protein) and trigger an immune response. Thus the subsequent swelling at the injection site. It usually goes as planned for most mRNA vaccine recipients. When it goes bad is when the mRNA escapes the injection site and major organ cells produce the antigen. Getting an immune response around major organ cells is not ideal. For example the mRNA can escape the injection site and migrate to the heart where cardiac cells of the heart and pericardium will produce the antigen and then you get subsequent immune response near those cell, i.e., myocarditis and/or pericarditis. Another example would be if the mRNA sets up shop in the fertility organs of females. This could cause these organs to swell and these women will likely run into fertility issues.

mRNA technology might be suitable for high risk individuals but young and healthy people should be taking mRNA vaccines for a virus that just leads to sniffles for most people.

I don't know what the long term adverse effects of the vaccine are, yet.

My sis in law wouldn't come to our house for months because we weren't vaxxed

Lol after her 3rd covid bout she started coming over again.

She will never admit it, but I think she realizes the bs she was fed

Tell your brother the covid "vax" doesn't prevent you from catching covid.

Tell him if he doesn't like that you're not vaxed, he can be your father's caretaker.

You don't know who gave it to who. Maybe your dad gave it to you. The real point is that the vax didn't prevent your dad from getting Covid.

If the vax was actually a vax, your dad wouldn't have caught Covid from you. So the vax doesn't prevent anyone from catching Covid.

Therefore even if you were vax'd, you still would've caught Covid and you dad still would've caught it from you. This is because the vax is not a vax and doesn't prevent infection.
There is absolutely no logic or critical thinking in the minds of liberals. This is simple logic.

The emotional thing is what you have to tackle. If you can get thru the fog of the emotion, stay calm, and get to the logic of that your dad is vax'd and it didn't prevent him from getting Covid. Thus if you were vax'd it wouldn't prevent you from getting Covid and you both would still have Covid right now.

Evidence is starting to come out that the vaccinated do worse with covid not better.

Vitamins and getting some sunlight are without a doubt far better medicine than the mRNA injection.

This is an under-rated point in this whole thing. People just assume pure-bloods are spreading the virus to "protected" vaccinated people. On its face, that makes no sense. The vaccinated were shown to shed as much or more virus progeny. Therefore, there was never a need to force vaccinations on people who didn't want them.

I didn’t take the shot but elderly people and with co-morbities I know that asked my advice I told them to take it.I didn’t know if the vax was safe but I figured for certain people it was worth the risk, probably like your Dad.

Almost everyone I know that got vaxxed and boosted got Covid anyway, couple old men I know got it 3 times each.So clearly it wasn’t effective.Did it reduce the severity of their illness? Possibly.

Young healthy people such as my grandchildren I absolutely advised against it and they didn’t take it.

What I’ll never understand is when our gov’t overlords were declaring the vaccine was safe and effective the vaccinated people would get apoplectic about the people that weren’t vaxxed.Would exclude them from gatherings, wanted them put in prison, etc.

There is no reasoning with Covidians.

LSUA 75, exactly right. If the vax is effective, why do you care if I'm vax'd. You claim you are protected, so why force me to get vax'd. My vax status shouldn't effect your status or cause you to get covid...right?
