Gas prices are killing people? Really?
The average American drives 13,500 - 15,000 miles a year with the average car getting 27.2 mpg. That means between 496 and 551 gallons of gas per YEAR.
That averages out to 43 gallons a month. So every dollar per gallon price increase is $43 per month. If people are getting killed by $43 per month they need to stop the $8 per day Starbucks habit.

Meh. I really don't care what kind of vehicle someone chooses to buy, but any time gas prices go up it's always the people driving vehicles the size of a small bus that get 11 MPG who complain.
Lots of things make gas prices go up and down. We're still not at the inflation adjusted all time peak of 2008 yet.
If you can't afford it when prices go up, maybe you better settle for a Honda sedan. Either that or don't bitch when prices go up. I don't care which.
