Funny thing is that the dems are flustered by negotiations 101. Anyone who’s ever bought a car knows this. Don’t like the deal? Walk... they’ll call back and the deal will get better.

Much like a car dealer, the Dems are trying to portray like they are the ones with the power. Actually it’s the other way around, much like when you buy a car, Trumps the only one that can approve the deal and holds the purse strings.

Cryin’ Chuck Schumer is stuck in the old paradigm. The game has changed.

Word is that Schumer tried the old move of "we will give you funding for the Wall and increased border security in the future, if you approve DACA now" and Trump laughed. Schumer must have been shocked b/c that move has always worked on past Rs

There's nothing to negotiate. Enforce existing immigration law and then we might talk about changes to the law.

Nobody is falling for the "republicans are evil" shtick any more.

What was pathetic was the night of the vote when all those Senators trying to work out a deal crowded around a sitting and smirking Schumer like he was the KING of the Senate or something. What a total loser he is!!

Yeah that worked on Reagan back in the 80’s with the amnesty deal.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I hope Trump (and the White House) and all of the Republicans do exactly what the Democrats would do in this situation...

Blame the other side relentlessly. Every time a microphone is listening, blame the Democrats. Make sure the American people know who is responsible and why a deal wasn't reached.

The democrats have been used to absolutely raping the republicuck/uniparty for decades. So they are probably still in shock.

Sheesh... listen to yourselves.

Republicans control all three branches and for the first time in the history of this country the government has shut down under that circumstance. And yet you all are praising Trump's negotiating skills?

It was Schumer, not Trump, who walked away from a bad deal.

I knew you couldn't stay away. Don't worry, I'm sure you will have the opportunity to be a martyr again soon.

Basics civics would be helpful, Rex. They need 9 Dems to vote. The party of no is to blame.

It just mystifies me that people actually debate this point and not have their sanity brought into question.

Pass DACA with no Wall, end to Chain/Lottery Immigration...and the (former) Illegals vote to "fundamentally change" this Nation and make it into the "&^%&hole" Nations that they are fleeing.

Like Mattis said re North Korea..."we're at the end of the road".
