We were anti-deficit during 2008 - 2016 correct?

But I am curious. GOP is cutting government spending?

Nope.
Save that for 2020 after Trump gets reelected.

I’d hope so. It’d be nice if we could stop spending so much money in the Mid East.

shite in one hand and wish in the other; see which ones fills up first.

A forward-looking baw will be using these savings to invest in highest order capital goods and land, nothing else can be safe from the travesties of utter economic collapse.

They are betting that gov revenues go up just like every other time we've cut taxes. That said, He's already spending roughly 600 billion less than Obama's annual average. We need to do more. Hopefully something tangible happens soon.

Ryan announced a few weeks ago entitlements would be the focus in 2018. If they somehow reform them and we can balance a budget I will be shocked. Passing tax reform and reforming entitlements in trumps first 2 years in office would be the most insane amount of progress the government has made in my lifetime easily.

Patience friend, it took 8 yrs of Obammy to totally wreck shite, give Trump another few years and you'll probably forget how bad things really were.

I predict a Trump sign in your yard in 2020.

Lol please ........ that would require actual fiscal responsibility. I was in the wing of the GOP for 30 years. They trotted us out occasionally when Democrats were in power then back in the back room again.

No party is for that, trust me I tried

How dare you point out the utter hypocrisy of trump and the republican congress.

The deficit will increase and cut into available funds for the poors and middle class youth and seniors.
Most of the tax cuts go to those who do not need a penny.
Spending will increase. 1.5 trillion.
War spending will increase.

Lol, otto, you know that's bullshite. We can borrow money for these programs and services with absolutely no problem...for now. It wasn't a problem before, and it won't be in the future, right?

Are you suggesting that someone other than earners are more deserving of the funds? Let me posit a hypothetical to you: are you disturbed or disgusted by a family worth, let's say, $15MM, being robbed of $30k in electronics from their home? They don't really need it, and can afford the expense, after all.

I am halfway willing to believe you, but I'll need a source. Did the reconciliation really include that much of an increase in spending?

War spending will increase.

You're probably right on that end, unfortunately.

Unfortunately no.

0 gems voted for this very obvious beneficial tax cut. The same number would vote for true spending cuts.

I dislike EBT and the like as much as you, my good baw, but there will be no fiscal impact on the budget until non-discretionary items (SS, Medicare, and Medicaid) and defense spending are reigned in or completely reformed. EBT spending, on a federal level, is negligible.

Spending will increase by 1.5 trillion over 10 years... so only 150 billion per year.

And that estimate doesn't factor in increased tax revenues from corporations who currently have a shite ton of cash overseas.
