Ran across this series of videos last night of a guy interviewing what looks like Gen Z and maybe the youngest Millennials and asking them VERY basic questions of either geography, math, history, etc.
Now...I get that there were probably some that got answered right and they were tossed out of the video because that wasn't the point, but the main issue is that he found ANYONE that could not answer these questions. I called by 15 year old son in half way though this so he could see it, and he laughed but then said, "Wait...is this real?"

Keep in mind when you're arguing with some activist on line, you may very well be arguing with someone like these kids. Next time someone wants to defend The Department of Education, they ought to be shown this video.

i was talking to a sixteen y/o kid i know the other day about geography. she couldn't name one country in europe besides "south africa."
this is the same kid who has said she hates boys and never wants to get married, but does want kids, and lots of her friends think in the same way.

I like how he simply answers, "Yes" when they say something stupid. My kid was asking why he did that, because he's even more argumentative than I am, and I told him it did not good to correct them because it would likely start and argument and he'd end up with no one else talking to him.
