What? Again, do you think the US is the only country that borrows?

No, its time to let deflation occur. You have way more to lose than I, which is why you loathe the idea.

Progressives only really care about their own wealth.

Of course you would support loose monetary policy.

You always identify with your oppressors.

What you aren't understanding is what occurs when that matures. An interest payment is made to the holders of that debt. And then what happens? Do you think everyone is trying desperately to get rid of their dollars?

US monetary policy is designed around using dollars to facilitate transactions. For that end, that policy achieves its objective many times over.

Son, youre not even bright enough to be in the conversation. Its on brand for you to be arguing for a Marxist in this thread though

Simple question. Whats the downside to high inflation?

Roger is many things but he isn't some antifa warrior. You're a cartoon character at this point. Just hyperbolic retardation from every post.

Hes got a great strategy. Jump start inflation then claim to want to save people from that inflation.

I actually agree, but the problem is that it would be what is called 'debt deflation' rather than just deflation. That, in combination with contracting population growth, can lead to stagnant economic growth and decreased amounts of private investment in the US itself. This is what played out in Japan, as their late 80's economic crisis created a deflationary spiral, as internal investment decreased as the population cratered, creating a situation where Japanese companies spend far more on foreign investment. In macro terms, the Japanese economy in 1995 was around 70% the size of the US economy. Right now it is smaller than it was in 1995.

The choice to buttress certain sectors of the economy was the choice Powell and others made, and those choices have consequences for everyone, including you. Those choices limit the realities of what the US can do, and you see that effect playing out geopolitically.

Love to hear you give a coherent point by point about how your positions differ from antifa, but that may be asking too much if they get over five or six.

I absolutely do, and your ideal creates serfs, not free people..

Government controlling my well being has nothing to do with "liberalization" and actually gives the government far more power over the citizenry.
