I don't know how they can look at his republican party approval numbers and think this will work somehow. Like who inside their ranks thinks this is a winning play? I'd imagine not many.

They already knew that he was going to win a second term. So they haven't ensured anything with this move.

Yeah About half of the dems in districts Trump won will have to vote yes for this to proceed to the senate.
