Now, if she doesn't understand that it's a pretty fair request to ask employees in an ICU/CCU department to require the vaccine, at that point we're kinda entering the idiocy territory, if we're being honest with ourselves. But again, the OP didn't say that, so I didn't call her that.

They get treated like shite….they aren’t leaving because of covid. They are leaving because management and the business side has over taken the actual selfless and empathetic care these nurses give.
The younger ones with their tik tok and Instagram dances don’t care

Sucks. When they realize the shiatshow they have created, your wife will probably get a callback with extra pay.
Our kids are in 3 schools here in north Fulton, and all will be wearing masks next week. They've really escalated this shiat.
My company announced they are pushing back return to office another month. They already said non-vaxxed would be wearing masks, but now everyone has to wear masks again. Curious if they are going to request vaxx status or maybe even require it. Ugh.

Burnout is real. The bureaucracy of medicine sucks. It is stressful. Your OP wasn’t framed that way (intentionally). The usual suspects bought it hook, line, and sinker.

Make them fire her. Also, go on in and advise them you are not taking it and have retained an attorney and show them your completed application for unemployment benefits
