Sports mixed with Marxist BS is not entertaining. I can’t believe that they are so tone deaf.

ditto. I would rather express admiration for the POLICE WHO WERE ASSAULTED by the people the Alabama players attempted to dignify...

..and FIGHT the Marxism the Alabama players decided to support

unknowingly as victims of the Marxist invaders that are operating under the Democrat party.

Will be interesting to see if things take a turn.

It will also be interesting to see if this affects TV ratings for SEC games.

You would think with the Big 10 and the PAC-12 cancelling their games, that SEC would get a bit of a boost (mainly from the Midwest, not as much from the Left Coast).

BUT if these protests are pissing off SEC football fans -- some of the most loyal, diehard fans in America -- that might be too much for already struggling networks to take. Who knows, we may see ESPN forced into Chapter 7 liquidation?

I feel like a lot of these coaches think they don't have a choice for recruiting reasons. If you gave all of these coaches truth serum, I bet very few of them actually support BLM.

Disney will keep ESPN afloat and advertisers will be shamed into paying to keep the professional sports treading water for some time... It won't last and I truly hope that the whole thing drags Disney down with it...

Talk about the biggest win of them all...

I’ve been a fan since the Musso/Todd era. I’m done. This garbage is a bridge too far for me. They won’t miss me and I won’t miss them.

It must be a very fine line: "how much woke shite do I have to do to pander to the media without pissing off fans? "

If he can lock in one or two additional five stars for the upcoming class thanks to yesterday, all will be forgiven as far as I'm concerned.

Well then I'll call up every 5 star player and offer up your mother to gangbang if that's the case!

Well, maybe God is trying to bring us back to our senses by dethroning these knuckleheads.

The Roman Empire collapsed because it tried to provide circuses for the citizenry.

Now our "circuses" (sports) are in trouble. Fans can't go to games (even if so inclined) due to COVID-19. This puts pressure on governments who are on the hook to bail out teams that can't make payments on bonds floated to build the fancy sports palaces.

Even if the fans could go many of them have lost jobs or had severe reductions in pay to where entertainment is the first thing to get cut from the budget.

So the solution is to piss off the remaining fans? Make them seriously think about canceling their sports packages, their season tickets? Even (in some cases with college teams) tell their alma mater no more donations since the leadership is siding with the criminals of BLM?

In the last 2-3 years Disney has been acquiring more movie franchises (Marvel, Lucas Films, Fox Pictures) to solidify its core. ESPN was discussed as a potential spinoff at that time.

But now with theaters not being opened that hurts them badly. Direct-to-TV movies simply don't generate the excitement -- or cash flow -- that box office releases do.

How long CAN Disney bail out ESPN if it has to allocate $ to keep its core holdings afloat?

Sadly.... for some coaches ... it’s “win at any cost”. Whatever it takes.

You know how many sister fricking rednecks who drop the n word like they breathe are sporting BLM T-shirt after they saw the “march”

I'm pretty sure they'll drop that word at a lower rate than black people.

Hopefully long enough to bankrupt the entire thing... You know the woke bunch can't simply turn their back on the woke movement and let it die... They will have to do all they can to keep things going...

You are simple minded.

People don't give a shite about the opinion of a 20 year old.

It's the "woke" older pussies trying to shove it down everyone's throat.

That's the problem , you can't watch anything without your ilk (pussies) constantly talking about supporting dead and paralyzed criminals.

It is not even really that for me... I know CNS is a die hard Democrat...

My issue comes with using a public institution and his status in that institution to pacify the "mob" and virtue signal... Not a single one of those black kids marching behind him are not in a better place than they were and he is trying to support their idea that black men are being kept down by white men...

I donated a lot of money to that school so those black kids could play a sport and hopefully (some) get a degree... I guess I have been keeping the black man down...

A bunch of useful idiots following an old man around that thinks he is woke because he is paid millions to coach a game?

Uhmmm yes it does. There's tens of thousands of Alabama fans and LSU fans that are done with College football forever. You don't take a crap on Old Glory in the South and sell your product.

I literally don’t know one Alabama fan that says they are “DoNe WiTh AlAbAmA fOrEvEr” except for the snowflakes on this board. And by this board, I don’t mean TD, I mean this specific little corner of TD. Have you noticed how no one is trying to convince you to keep watching? It’s because it doesn’t matter. Alabama football is going to be just fine.
