I have worked to put forward a foundation for this, calling for the re-shoring of supply chains integral to our national interest — everything from basic medicines and equipment to vital rare-earth minerals and technologies of the future. Before the pandemic, I proposed a reauthorization of the Small Business Act to serve as a template for how we could make our economy more productive. There is a clear need for a sweeping pro-American industrial policy, brought into sharp relief by this crisis.

We need to apply this thinking to the conditions that intensified the continuing pandemic. In February, I submitted a bipartisan plan to require drug producers to identify where ingredients are produced, create tax breaks for U.S. producers of these ingredients and mandate that federal buyers purchase drugs made in America.

A sensible industrial policy will also mean creating federal incentives for productive investment in workers and equipment through tax policy and robust federal guarantees, while discouraging unproductive corporate behavior like stock buybacks. Where foreign subsidies draw away investment outside our own borders, the federal government should introduce cooperatives to spur the creation of domestic supply chains.

Though rebuilding a more productive and pro-worker economy will take time, we can achieve it and ensure that America’s next economic chapter will owe its character to the same spirit of resiliency, solidarity and collective pursuit of the common good that our people are now displaying to the world.

He is 100% correct and the riots currently ongoing are a symptom of the failed industrial policy in the United States. We need strong leaders like Marco to bring our manufacturing back home and to increase the transparency of where our products are coming from. I believe this is something we can all agree on.

I trust absolutely zero that comes out of Marco Rubio's piehole. He's just positioning himself for the next republican presidential field. I hope everyone remembers he's full of it.

Rubio can't even manage his own money. I'd like to see that fool out of the national political picture for good. Leave it to Florida to have him in the frickin' Senate.

Marco lost any credibility he had left. He will not be re-elected.

We need supposed "leaders" to not spread bullshite about "right wing extremists" when the real problem is obvious.

Serious question

To the people that hire you seriously think that shilling in such an obvious manner is effective?

He called out both left and right wing terrorist groups. So you condone the actions of right wing terror?

Storm front and 4chan are glaring examples of right wing terror.

You are a God damned idiot no worse than the leftists calling anybody who disagrees with you a "right wing terrorist" or a supporter.

The point is THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF THAT.

If there is some obscure anecdote somewhere they are 0.05% of the problem. Ascribing equal responsibility is horse shite.

You don't think maybe these assholes will call themselves that when they get caught?

I didn’t care for Little Marco before. He solidified himself as a lightweight in his State of Union response, debates, and presidential campaign. He was a member of the Gang of Eight. He has become entrenched in the deep state. Now he concern trolls about dangerous rioters from the right and the left.

Little Marco is forever dead to me and countless others. He can never recover our trust. I will never vote for him. I hope he loses his next election.

A federal psy-op and a bunch of trolls are clear examples of terrorism, dude.
