The Army does not release names of deceased individuals until 24 hours after next-of-kin notification. These notifications can sometimes take several hours to occur dependent on many factors. Releases are not based off a certain amount of time after an incident has occurred, thus people should not be surprised it hasn’t occurred yet, nor should they be speculative about the reasons why it hasn’t occurred. This is all standard procedure and in accordance with Army Regulation 360-1, para. 7-11.

Thats not the point. Apparently, everyone - including you- knows who it is. The fact that the media is not leaking this says something about the nature of the pilot. Their patterns on stuff like this is pretty clear.

Going to be running up to 48 hours by this evening, and, crickets. Everyone else has been named, the Jo theory was debunked. Supposedly "everyone in the Army" knows, but not one leak.

I will say I was surprised by the number of female Black Hawk pilots. It seems like they targeted that position for female pilots.

The plane crashed 2 days ago, the people here ranting about 24 hours notice, there is no way that Next of Kin were not notified by 2pm ET.
There is zero good reason this is being held back unless this is a criminal investigation.

You know what's going on. They have strong indications this was a mass murder so they are going to try to essentially solve the whole thing and package and present the story as a whole all at once.
Dropping the name would cause the entire country to start investigating and frick up their process.
If they thought this was just an accident and the PIC just fricked up, we'd know by now. But they know something is fricky and they are trying to figure it out fast.
