We have to figure out how to unite the citizens of this country.

We all know on both sides of the aisle that they are crooked. Most of us agree on 95% of the major issues in this nation. the people against us is our representatives not each other.

Is Joe Biden was honest, he could come out and say “we want a peaceful transition of power, it is essential we have free speech, so restore peoples online voice, and also Democrats, don’t be vindictive, again we need to heal and want a peaceful transition of power.”
I still think he would be illegitimate, but I would have a tad more respect and a shite ton more optimism.

Who is going to do that? I think the republican governors in states with leftist senators need to wage open war against them. Public, in your face war. Governors need to protect the interest of their states.

I don't know that it's very possible. In the past, even though different political groups had their disagreement, there was at least some common idea about what this country is and what it should be. I don't see that common ideal now, the different political sides have fundamentally different thoughts as to what this country should strive to be.

In a weird way, Trump’s recent insanity is uniting the left and right. A lot of Republicans are starting to come to their senses and realize being affiliated with him is unwise. Trump has been hemorrhaging supporters for months leading up to the election, and even moreso with all this election fraud BS that everyone knows is fabricated. This week’s events basically killed any chance he had at staying relevant politically post-presidency.
