That would be a huge violation of our constitutional rights.
Rolf if you don’t think that’s going on in the US. They’ve even been telling us about how they’re using cell phone data to track our movements and social distancing.

Right... We forcefully closed most retail businesses and told nearly every one of our citizens to stay home and you talk about constitutional rights. The lack of critical thinking here is astounding.

We don't actually have any constitutional rights if the government doesn't want us to.
Where are the lawsuits over any of this? I guess the government doesn't feel like maintaining the charade of a fair justice system wrt seeking redress against the government.
This is a crisis, you will do whatever we want you to do, and the courts are shut down because this is a crisis.

They did ALOT more than doxing.
The seized credit card and phone data without warrants, monitored anyone 24/7 who tested positive along with ANYONE they came in contact with.
Once again, who says we either have a police state or close businesses and stay at home?
Can't we open things up without using police state tactics? It seems to be working in Sweden and Japan.

Ok, so the secret is to “not panic”, be a Christian and care about the elderly and that will turn us around. Got it.
i.e., more respect for their fellow man. U.S. is mostly about "me." It has nothing to do with freedom.

Ok. Let me explain to those of you too thick to understand the lengths SK went to doxx their own citizens.
They first collected all cell phone data after running 10's of thousands of tests. Let's ignore that These early tests had a high false-positive rate. Next they created digital maps of those that tested positive. They then interviewed for hours the infected and mapped out where they went. They tested everyone within 10 miles of where they were. Everywhere they went and everyone they talked to was then doxxed, brought in for testing, questioning, and were put under quarantine whether they wanted to or not.
You're sitting here complaining about businesses being closed, still have the right to go outdoors(ATM at least, CA and FL seem to be going down a dark path), you haven't been forced to have a swab shoved up your nostril to the point it tickles your brain, you haven't had your personal cell phone data brought up and exposed, you haven't had your house or residence placed on a map and have said map posted all around every business within 10 miles fo you for all the country to see and know to steer clear, you haven't had everyone you came in contact with becoming aware another victim to gov doxxing. Yes, what our leaders are doing is a violation, but the extent both SK and Singapore went to would make you tremble in your boots if you think a forced shutdown was too far.

Who said this?
You really want the govt having your credit/debit card transactions monitored WITHOUT warrant? Being able to hack your phone and have ALL the other information available to them besides GPS? How bout having the power to monitor and track others who don't even test positive?
I honestly don't have a problem doxing anyone who tests positive.Fine by me but I have huge issue with govt have access to my banking records, email and other personal information without a warrant.
I also can't imagine 99.9% of people who test positive wanting to have the "freedom to spread the virus"

Not only that, but over half of their early cases were all due to one cluster. They were able to identify them and isolate them.
They were pretty fortunate.

What are you talking about? I think you missed the point of what I said.
This guy was actually saying that we don't have a constitution, when it comes to a virus. As in, the rules don't apply in an "emergency". That's how our local governments are treating it, and it's clearly unconstitutional. But for someone to say it like it's normal, shows a lack of constitutional awareness.
Unless he was attempting to be sarcastic, which, that is not the impression I got.

You're already tracked by your credit card purchases, stop thinking otherwise.

So, more lack of critical thinking with a dash of arrogance mixed in.
I don't give a crap what SK does to its citizens. The OP talked about the United States Constitution which doesn't govern South Koreans. So, your comparison is silly.
Our Constitution is built on liberty of the individual and it spells out limited rights to our government. And, these orders are WAY out of bounds. However, all we can do is sue and even if the courts were open, it would be months and years before any judgements. The government knows that so they can pretty much do as they please.
Now, if they start doing to us what the SK government does to theirs, we'd probably have a high level of civil disobedience very quickly.

By the feds?
Have they hacked my phone? Are they tracking my movements?
And doing this without a warrant?
Are you OK with this if true?
