9Alito and Thomas are in their 70s. Imagine losing them and being replaced with 2 additonal Kentanji type Justices.

They can rule against the BoR, and even overturn them as Constitutionally protected but I can't "lose" them because they're pre-existant and granted by God.

The Constitution clearly says that the state legislature is responsible for the how elections are conducted. SCOTUS said that it was fine for the state courts to make modifications to how elections were held. As soon as that ruling came down in '20, I knew the election was over.
