I’m all for this sort of debate. I don’t care if DeSantis “thinks he’s going to win the nomination” or not. We all know he won’t.
I just think it’s okay for politicians of all levels to debate each other publicly for any reason. Even outside elections. Let’s have some public discourse. Let’s talk about competing ideologies. Let’s get it on instead of sniping at each other from the gutters. Face your accusers.

If you are for Newsome, you have something wrong in your head.

Nah. He said Newsom liked him, pretty substantial difference - definitely so in this context. Trump was saying that he couldn’t work in his trademark takedown of Newsom because Newsom denied him the proper opportunity by being nice to DT. In other words, Newsom was kissing Trump arse during the Presidency.

Trump has never participated in a debate where he was not debating the moderators along with the other candidates/candidate on the stage.
