During Clinton was the last time actual Conservative and Moderate Democrats existed in Congress.

Barrack Obama retired every last one of them on his march towards Extreme Far Left Globalism.

There are way too many people who call themselves Democrats who still believe their party platform is any different than it was under Carter. Jimmy Carter couldn't even get on the ballot in his own State today.

I wish I could give you 100 more downvotes

He’s easily one of the five worst presidents of all time.

You ask this board? Who would the Democrats say was the last quality Republican President? Abe Lincoln? The Democrats obviously think that Kennedy, Bill Clinton and Obama were quality Presidents. Many of them think that LBJ and Carter were.

don’t know the stats but the country was war weary. Most had no interest in even going to Europe.

The homefront was war weary. The soldiers were ready to push on and finish it.

That's not my opinion. Those words came from both of my grandfathers who were there, and the overwhelming consensus among them was to follow Patton and finish it. My grandmothers on the homefront were certainly ready to have our boys back, but would have continued to hold the fort down as long as necessary, and that was also their own words.

I'm not arguing against your point, because it's certainly valid and accurate. I'm just adding context and depth that came directly from the horses' mouths.

Eisenhower was approached by both parties to run for president in 1951 and he chose the Republicans.

Eisenhower was a huge factor in making golf popular in America. The early 50s saw a combination of a popular president playing golf and the growth of TV ownership to the masses so they could see him play. It was no longer a game just for the rich.
