Not mailing bombs to people, but the thoughts in his manifesto about technology.

As best I understand, his argument goes like this:

1. Personal freedoms are constrained by society, as they must be.
2. The stronger that technology makes society, the less freedoms.
3. Technology destroys nature, which strengthens technology further.
4. This ratchet of technological self-amplification is stronger than politics.
5. Any attempt to use technology or politics to tame the system only strengthens it.
6. Therefore technological civilization must be destroyed, rather than reformed.
7. Since it cannot be destroyed by tech or politics, humans must push industrial society towards its inevitable end of self-collapse.
8. Then pounce on it when it is down and kill it before it rises again.

Couple this with President Eisenhower's warnings about the technocracy and military industrial complex from his farewell address. I think we're missing the real enemy and it's not leftist ideology.

The more technology advances, the dumber the population as a whole becomes. In that sense I guess Teddy K was right.

Ted is turning out to be quite the visionary.

Ted made some very legitimate points.

When we reach a point where big tech corporations are challenging the sovereignty of nations (Australia) and censoring the most powerful leader in the world (Trump). Yes, we have a big problem on the horizon.

It feels every year the percentage of the population who rely on many other factors to take care of themselves continues to grow. As in people who don’t prepare or know how to think critically if they’re thrown a curveball.

You can show someone an extended quote from Ted Kaczynski without telling them the author.

Damn, that guy is insightful. People should hear what he has to say. What's his name?

Ted Kaczynski.

Oh.

He was brilliant, but unfortunately channeled it into committing acts of evil. But his maniffesto was correct.

Technology has given society's looney tunes a powerful voice, so, in that sense, yes, it (the social media corporate scene) needs to be destroyed.

It has always been about the people controlling the technologies. We are taught to follow the science and follow the rule of experts. The rule of Technocrats is here and it is real.

Amoral And Ethically Challenged Technocrats Are The Real Pandemic
LINK “ Amoral And Ethically Challenged Technocrats Are The Real Pandemic”
From there to COVID related but applicable to other areas:

“ Here is the terrifying problem. The most influential of our would-be health-care overlords hold immoral and amoral values not shared by most of those who would be impacted by their policy prescriptions.”

I doubt the average American even knows his name. I told people that tech further creates the divide between the intelligent and the idiots.

He was right, but he was very wrong in how he conveyed his message and tried to effect change.

I respectfully disagree.
Technology is a tool like any other with benefits or detriments depending on the wielder of the tool.
But yes, there is currently a grave issue facing our world because we have 2 major players controlling technology with conflicting goals:
1. Liberal progressive Democrats now control every aspect of major communication media in the U.S. This is possible because liberals control the associated technology in big tech companies like: Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple Computer and Microsoft. If these companies were controlled by freedom loving centrists with the best interests of the U.S. at heart, then there wouldn't be an issue.

2. China is clearly on a fast track toward world domination and liberal progressives naively believe that they have everything under control. Both factions have a vision for a New World Order but I assure you that China's vision is quite different from what liberals have in mind. China has stolen technology and aligned themselves with Western business interests. They are developing their economy and technology rapidly to the extent that when they no longer need our technology, liberal progressives will have a very rude awakening.

I don't think it's so much technology, but our economic system in a way. I am not saying we should be communist or anything like that, those systems always fail. Capitalism is what drives progress. But, to the extent our money system is basically based on infinite growth, it is doomed to fail at some point. I think the end of cheap fossil fuel inputs will do it. There is no future in a green economy.
