It will end when the people have had enough and rise up. This nation started with a Revolution and may be saved by another one.

They should not be controlled by conservatives OR leftists. They should just do their job and stay out of politics as much as possible.

You beat me to it as I was about to say the same thing. Last week I watched a Netflix movie, "Breach," about FBI agent Robert Hanssen. He was personally responsible for the largest intelligence breach the US has ever had. At one time he led the FBI department in charge of keeping track of Russia. He was thought to be responsible for revealing the identity of approx 50 agents and at least 3 deaths. Anyway, at the end of the show it said he was in the Federal Supermax Prison in CO. I mentioned to a younger person that that's the same prison where a bunch of notorious people are, including: Terry Nichols, El Chapo, Eric Rudolph, Ted Kaczynski and others. The person didn't recognize most of those names. BTW, I liked "Breach". I also recommend "Richard Jewell" and "Manhunt: Deadly Games." "Richard Jewell" was a good movie done by Clint Eastwood about the man who's life was ruined when the FBI leaked his name to a local reporter as the suspected Olympic Park bomber. There was no evidence he did the bombing and he was never charged. "Manhunt" was a multi part series on CBS. The original was about Ted Kaczynski. "Manhunt: Deadly Games" ties together the story about Richard Jewell w/ the actual Atlanta Olympic Park bomber, Eric Rudolph. BTW, after watching "Deadly Games" and "Richard Jewell" you'll realize corruption at the top levels of the FBI is nothing new.

Like any other tool technology can be used for good or evil. Because of technological advances in farming we are able to feed billions, also nuclear weapons can kill just as many. It is up to Mankind how to use technology, the genie is out the bottle.

After the FBI published his manifesto to help out him, I'm sure his brother worried about being mailed a package as well. I'm sure he was afraid brother Ted might want to off him to protect his identity from being revealed. So can't really blame the brother in that regard.

His views on technology were fairly prescient but he kind of ruined his credibility when he resorted to violence to enact change. He should have been intelligent enough to know the change he wanted wouldn't come about via terrorism.

No he didn't and no he doesn't. When the L.A. Times printed it everyone commented what a horrible piece of writing.

A lot of very intelligent people did agree with the manifesto, it’s just too bad it was written by a serial murderer. No one is condoning the extremes Ted went to, but the lunatic had some valid points.

Anyone who says that is clutching their hands and seeking approval from the crowd.

They’re too afraid of what other people might think, to look at his ideas.

Industrial Society and Its Future has two problems.

One, his solution, dragging society back into the Stone Age, is impossible and undesirable.

His campaign of terror was reprensible.

The second?

He doesn’t sound like a lunatic. He identifies a problem which will only grow worse as technology becomes more sophisticated. Modern life is less and less fulfilling. We are growing more and more unhappy.
