What exactly are your concerns?

That absolutely no one on this board was talking about until Fleming tried to make it a wedge issue starting 2 weeks ago.

I wouldn't say no one talked about it before. People that are fearful of it are pretty vocal - doesn't make it a majority though.

It is a pipeline. It is not new technology. It is not any more dangerous than anything else up and down the river.

Except where they are injecting it into the ground.

You might be confusing the two.

Several communities are completely against it. It’s mostly rural. So it’s not making headlines. They even lobbied for and got a bill sponsored to limit eminent domain for this, but it didn’t pass.

You would think that such an existential local threat there would be constant non stop threads about it

Pressure injection has been around for decades.

I was concerned simply because she is a woman. Women and power positions do not go well and they become power hungry idiots.
I’ll NEVER vote for another woman for any reason.

This is going to be Kathleen Blanco 2.0, only worse.

People have short memories and have forgotten what an abysmal failure it was to elect the last female to higher office in LA.

This one has the potential to be much, much worse than Blanco because this recalcitrant whore isn't term limited.

Not me, although I voted for Fleming. I'm "pro-carbon capture" too.

This is such a bad take. Congress passed a tax incentive to put Carbon in the ground because the communists running the country hate trees and want to take their food away. So companies reacted. It was now profitable to take methane, strip out the co2 and put it in the ground. What the communists did not realize that this process frees up hydrogen that is very valuable. The hydrogen is piped to industry on the river to make high end products. A reliable source of hydrogen is incentive to build more industry. win win As the other posted noted, this is old news. All these new accounts trying to get us to hate Letlow.

Way too much logic and common sense for this board. These knob turnin’ plant baws’ general persona is grumpy and angry, and don’t really know why.

I think deep down inside… they are frustrated and defeated, and starting to realize that, even though they scream louder… They don’t have enough influence or money to impact the outcome of elections.

Was there some big explosion or something?

If not why would you think to tell “I told you so” to letlow voters this morning on this subject?

Believe me I guarantee that Fleming made sure EVERYONE knew where she stood on the issue.

It was literally all he campaigned on.

There were many concerned. Note that even though she received over 40% in the first election a large turnout for Fleming made the race competitive.

Carbon capture can be very safe and the technology utilized to evaluate locations and to inject have been around for decades. Funny how people just sky scream for no reason at all.

Now, economic benefits - that is a problem for the companies to figure out. Most will not invest if it doesn’t make money plain and simple.

Such a stupid topic when you realize there is equipment that can be at a drill site that can inject carbon back into the well, as it comes out.

This scheme is nothing more than a money making frickshow

She will stand by Trump. That's 1st main position a LA senate should have just CA senators stand with Biden on everything.
