Someone referenced on the LA citizens against cc a line rupture in MS a few years back and it’s disaster. I think the voters who gave her this win don’t care or understand cc. Until it is in their parish. It’s a big deal being fought in some areas of the state.

CO2 has been injected under Denham Springs for 20 years. The only difference is that it was the dirfy CO2 from Jackson Dome. We have had the same CO2 pipelines in and through LA for at least 40 years

The CO2 is to be switched to CCS will be much cleaner and purer almost to the point of carbonated soft drink or dry ice.

Trump had 45Q enshrined in his Big Beautiful Bill. Fleming couldn't do anything about it as a senator. But suckers always get suckered, just like you were.

It is needed in Hydrotreaters and Hydrocrackers. Refineries will use Steam Methane Reformers to strip the H2 out of RFG for the aforementioned process units. Also will have pipelines to supplement

Most comes from naphtha reformers to produce reformate which is high octane gasoline. SMRs are not in most refineries. These are usually installed for supplemental hydrogen for a hydrocracker.

Hydrogen pipelines were installed from Chalmette/Belle Chasse to Victoria, TX around 25 years ago, with HyCO units along it to provide the extra hydrogen demand by hydrotreaters producing ULSD. HyCO meaning hydrogen carbon monoxide.

It doesn't matter if the new tech was a gold making machine that rained money down of everyone in the area. The point is the locals are overwhelmingly against it and have no recourse. They are being ignored. Just like with the data centers.

That's the issue. How can any conservative be for that in principle?

You can't be serious. Conservatives have a strong multi decade track record of voting for corporate interests over people.

Carbon capture is the biggest hoax this state has faced in a while. This topic could very well make Letlow a one and done senator.

So you hate Trump? He enshrined the credits in his Big Beautiful Bill. Net economic impact is $800 billion to the economy per year. It damned sure pays for itself with exports.

The only parishes that Letlow didn't win were most of the rural hillbilly type parishes and major cities. Letlow won in a landslide where existing and proposed CCS sites in the southern half of the state.

Congress passed a tax incentive to put Carbon in the ground because the communists running the country hate trees and want to take their food away.

So companies reacted. It was now profitable to take methane, strip out the co2 and put it in the ground.

Nice to see an educated take on this.

Biden's BBB and Trump's BBB bills provided the tax credits for carbon capture. Key words here -> Tax Credits. It was the Louisiana State government that change regs, which Landry signed into law, to allow those carbon tax credits.

Fleming is not going to stop that. Letlow can't undo what has already been done.

Nothingburger tactics by Fleming.

No, numbnuts.

She's essentially elected.

Now we get to revisit why electing females to higher office have consequences.

She'll show you how menopause is a bad recipe for making sound decisions. . . bank on it.

Hey, if you want to be led by a woman, confine it to your own life's circumstances.

BTW, men created the greatest nation to ever exist on this planet.

Not women.

You've earned your newest phaggottry bead for your necklace today.

Congratulations.

Louisiana began passing legislation to help and guide CCS in 2008.

Interesting note is that using CC for EOR could make an extra 3 billion barrels of oil from depleted fields in Louisiana. You can call it a $5 per barrel subsidy for the tax credits.

Additionally, the Geology of LA, TX and MS is ideally suited for it.

For those who don't know, carbon capture is being developed in Livingston Parish completely against the will of the overwhelming number of voters there. Many see it as another laundering scam with no real world benefit with only potential dangerous downsides.

This has been going on for decades. 80% of the state could not tell you a single thing about the process. Making this the total theme of a US senate campaign was a stupid strategy.

I was concerned about that, I was concerned that she is pro DEI, and that she is as liberal of a so-called "republican" as I have ever seen.

That's why I voted for Fleming. But a bunch of people apparently listened to the blatant lies in Letlow's attack ads, along with Trump inexplicably endorsing, and voted for her.

I've heard some amazing excuses from Letlow voters, such as: "Fleming is too old".

Really? Trump is 80, but you're worried about a 75 year old man? So it's better to have a progressive than a guy who might retire soon? Fantastic.

Or the famous "he's a Washington insider". Letlow won the nomination because of insiders who cleared her path. Meanwhile, what did Fleming do in Washington, exactly, that we should be concerned about? No one has had a coherent reason for voting for Letlow that I have heard.

She supports carbon capture sequestration, which stores it deep in the ground and is a serious threat to groundwater because of how it reacts to water and becomes a rock-leaching, poison making machine.

It is most certainly not a good idea. These people are worried about man-made global warning, which isn't real, but they'll poison people to "fix" the perceived problem. Genius.
