The way the FBI went about this you would think Trump infiltrated Area 51 and took the captured alien spacecraft out for a joyride and wrecked it and left it crashed on the side of the road somewhere.

And like any criminal in possession of sensitive nuclear documents that could potentially end the world as we know it (even worse that global warming) DJT chose to stash them at his secret underground bunker…. I mean office.

Washington Post is such trash.

Yeah Trump could have hidden such docs literally anywhere on the Planet Earth. Antarctica. Bottom of the ocean. Top of a skyscraper. Anywhere.

Nope. “Hid” then in a storage room the feds had been to before and recommended upgrading the lock.

Right. Just because you have clearance they don't just give you all the files you have clearance for. He wouldn't even be interested in looking at this.

I don’t believe this, it’s an attempt to justify what they did.

ETA: it’s more likely he has something on some high up people.

So it took the FBI 2 years and 2 trips to MAL to find and recover these docs? I mean really.

Classified documents relating to nuclear weapons were among the items FBI agents sought in a search of former president Donald Trump’s Florida residence on Monday, according to people familiar with the investigation.

Experts in classified information said the unusual search underscores deep concern among government officials about the types of information they thought could be located at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and potentially in danger of falling into the wrong hands.

This actually ties in with other reporting by the NYT this morning stating that *TRUMP ALLIES* had contacted GOP leadership/officials/friends to encourage them to slow their roll on the anti-DOJ, anti-FBI rhetoric because there was "more to come". Obviously, this person within Trumpworld knew just how bad this was going to get (and holding nuclear secrets is definitely pretty damn bad). The warning, of course, was because these folks stood to have a ton of egg on theirs faces when/if DOJ came with the goods.

Classified documents relating to nuclear weapons

Given that this is true, and I don't believe it for a second, then what business is it of the FBI to review and retain such documents? Is the FBI now the guardian of our nuclear arsenal?

They would have been better off stating they were looking for documents on aliens.

Honestly this is more believable than nuclear weapons documents.

Wait so they shipped him documents containing nuclear weapons information so they could later come find them? Because that’s the only way that story even makes sense.
