Now we're cooking with grease. I'm goddamn disappointed in Shreveport for missing a chance for an intrabranch wisecrack. Even called him a dadgum jarhead. Nuthin'

In the short movie about his life, the film maker stated he was a Marine that fought in Vietnam. Think about that for a second- she was the sole producer, director and writer of this documentary. Where on earth do you think she got the idea that he was a combat Vietnam veteran? Why is it that every media member that he is interviewed by comes away with the silly notion that he's a combat Vietnam veteran? Gosh, it's almost as if he's telling them this.

So draft dodging is more noble than serving in 1972 and calling yourself a vet of Vietnam times?

I'd say that it's likely he told them he served in "Vietnam" times and they were too ignorant or too lazy to learn the difference.

It certainly doesn't make him guilty of stolen valor.

Bruh, this is tired and lazy on your part. I never said or implied anything of the kind.

Stop deflecting and putting words in my mouth. At least actually debate instead of....whatever you marine types call the kind of brain-dead stunt you just tried to pull.

Nathan Phillips is a scam artist, con man and liar. He lied about his military service. Say it with me. He claimed to be a recon ranger marine, a position that does not exist. Just because you agree with someone politically doesn't mean you have to believe their lies

Yes, he talks about serving in Vietnam times and being scared and being a point man and being in the infantry and having people spit on him when he "came home". Gosh, I wonder how anyone could've made that mistake that he was in Vietnam.
