It's been all over X for days now. From otherwise "reputable" sources. My point is that you can't really make heads or tails of what is actually going on because there has been a lot of contradictory reporting coming from both sides of this.

Right. That doesn't surprise me. It fits with all of the other contradictory nonsense that has been said about this up to this point. Yesterday they were reporting that they were headed over there and Vance's plane turned around mid flight. Then I heard that Kushner and others went on without him.
But all of this came after it was reported days ago that Vance wouldn't be going due to some security concern.
I'm thinking there is some plot afoot and they're giving all this contradictory information in hopes of flushing people out.

Asymmetric warfare doesn't work that way.
They're using hidden launchers and cheap drones, its modern warfare and we aren't really equipped to stop it because Northrop Grumman and the rest of the MIC were too busy selling us overpriced F35s to bother paying attention to what's been going on in Ukraine or care enough to change because they're making too much money with the current status quo.
We need an Elon type to rebuild our MIC acquisition pipeline but our politicians are too corrupt and incompetent to fix the issues and Trump/Hegseth gave lipservice to fixing those issues, but we jumped into multiple engagements years before any of that could really pay off.
