Guess that is why that dude yesterday on the top riser shoved the shite out of everybody to get to the floor so he would be standing next to Trump during the photo.

Now that was funny.

I guess the US should allow Germany to host the UN and protect Europe by us leaving NATO.

Germany refuses to pay their share though. And won't. Just like a good socialist leader or worse, commie.

Paying for it is someone else's burden. Who better than the US?

As much as I can't stand Trump, I'm realizing more and more each day it's a good damn thing he won. Even with the house under R leadership, had HRC won, the Republicant's would have bent over backwards to move forward with this fricked up plan.

I'm curious as to what kind of economic backlash there would be should the US pull out of Germany. I imagine there has to be some serious economies that rely on US military presence.

How so?

BC by 2008 I was older and began to pay attention to affiliations. I read up on Obama's mentors like Ayers, etc, and realized how detrimental that belief system would be to our government. Not to mention Dreams of My Father That Abandoned Me With This Evil White Bitch was basically a commie manifesto.

Remember, in 2008 HRC was trying to out-Obama Obama. She was still pretty damn centrist. After 8 years of Obama, in 2016 she tried to emulate him. By that point the majority of the country realized what a mistake that was.

Europe continues to support the erosion of their identity with open borders and progressive politics. They're going to wake up one morning and realize they're late for prayer and hello snackbar.

But it's all Trumps fault. And the US.

Trump and Putin should go on a bear hunt together and tweet pictures of them sitting on top of their kills with guns on their backs and doing this number.

Ants there's your fricking problem. Why should the purported most powerful nation in Europe be "relying" on the US for anything?

If Germany now leads the West, then they can start shouldering the financial burden of doing so.

People like making this claim, and I agree with them, if they concede one thing. American civilization is distinct from, and better than Western civilization now. While American civilization is clearly the child of Western civilization, we've surpassed them in most things. We are distinct unto ourselves, namely because we've always been more diverse and haven't been hamstrung by our history like Europeans have (generally). Like the great filmmaker Stan Brakhage said about his film The Dead, Europe is dead because they live in the past.

I've posted this article ad nauseam, but this quote at the end does a lot of work showing how different we are from Europe as a whole.
quote:

“Ever since I arrived in 1992, I have been called ‘the emigrant.’ I have always been defined by my migratory flow and never by what I am as a person. I had lived two years earlier in California, and everyone called me by my name there.”

I know people might not agree, but I think there is enough evidence to say that American civilization is its own thing.

Macron and Merkel are almost single handedly torpedoing their own countries and western civilization in general in Europe and I'm supposed to take offense that they don't like a President who opposes that garbage of theirs?

Well hell yeah they don't like Trump.

The Germans have some weird WWII hangover thing going that if you're interested in preserving your own culture, sovereignty, or country that it automatically translates into what brought on the rise of the 3rd Reich to power. They have gone completely overboard and lost their collective minds.

the best/worst part is that if this Islamization occurs in Germany, et al, they will still just blame the US

since they're only faux leaders, they don't actually lead and expect the US to do their bidding. any deviation by the US and that deviation will be blamed for their future sorrows. they're like that friend who constantly fricks his/her life up and then blames everyone else

i agree with you

they will never do this. see: the criticisms of Trump using "the West" in his Poland speech

they see our version as inferior, terrible, and x-ist

any success we have will be painted with these allegations as "unfair" or "immoral" or whatever

i don't disagree

but i think that divide is what i was referencing in my OP. you just described it more succinctly and directly

This.

A modern German could be watching his wife get raped to death by a pack of Muslims and he'd still be happy in the knowledge that no one could call him a Nazi. They'll do anything, and I mean anything so long as it avoids any - no matter how silly and tangential - potential for being equated with Nazism. It's a form of mass cultural madness - a mass suicide far surpassing Jonestown.

The great irony is, there's basically no way Western Europe exists as anything close to resembling its current state, but for the U.S. and its existence b

If not for our armed protection and the Marshall Plan, they'd be part of the USSR.

in Germany, this inferiority complex is second only to their Nazi-aversion in terms of collective identity

that is what the ethos of Germany has been reduced to: avoiding being called Nazis and refusing to admit the superiority of the US

that's why the EU was so important to Germany: they get to be the "mini-US" and trot around like a hegemon, leading Europe
