Biggest demographic swing last night. This group moved 35 points from right to left across the country.

And the number one issue they voted on was lack of economic opportunity.

I’ve been consistently saying that the GOP strategy of just ignoring the poor economic reality of adults under 35 was going to hurt them and it did, substantially, last night.

This should be the primary audience that the GOP speaks to for the next 2-6 years. I also think everyone seriously underestimates what losing Charlie Kirk did to the Republican Party.

That group is tired of being told how good the economy is when their own reality is the opposite.

They are dumb but I don’t blame them. This country robbed their futures to enrich other countries and buy voters.

Sadly, they don't have the life experience to understand that socialism will make their reality far worse.

Tired of being told they are lazy.

You can buy a brand new TV for $500.

That's 2 weeks of groceries for a family of 3.

That's an issue.

Those 18-30 year olds need to invest a few million in the stock market and they'd see how great this economy is for them.

They can be tired of it all they want. Things are not nearly as bad as they perceive it to be.

What are your policy suggestions to address the perception of affordability?

90% of this entire board has been pushing for this and are in complete celebration, but it is still an "echo chamber".

Woe is you.

You whiners are insufferable.

This is terrible for young people, a 30 year mortgage at 35-40 years old.

• National Association of Realtors (NAR): Reports that the median age of a first-time homebuyer has climbed to an all-time high of 40 years old.

• U.S. Census Bureau / Redfin Data Analysis: Other data sources, such as analyses of U.S. Census Bureau and mortgage database information, place the typical first-time homebuyer closer to 32 to 35 years old, noting that mail-in surveys like NAR's tend to skew toward older respondents.

I don’t blame them. I’m 41 with a family, make really good money, and still have to be frugal to save. The cost of everything is out of control.

I’m not even taking into consideration insurance bc I live in south Louisiana I get that my insurance is going to be more. But fuel and food cost is very high. Cost of owning or renting is also high

I don’t blame our younger adults being very depressed about their futures.

And too young and dumb to realize leftists will only make that worse. Every. Time. I don’t blame them for being angry. I blame them for being stupid and shortsighted.

If your ship is at peril, and you think the captain and top crew are at fault, then mutiny. Fine. But you don’t go into the brig and free the worst people to take over.

Problem is republicans dont seem interested in doing anything to make their conditions better. Hell they call them lazy basement dwellers if these folks voice their concerns. Sarah Huckabee just aired the ad targeting young men as welfare queens.
