Democratic delegate Kathy Tran has introduced a bill in Virginia’s House of Delegates that would legalize abortion up to birth. When questioned about the bill today by Republican delegate Todd Gilbert, the Virginia House majority leader, Tran acknowledged that it would allow abortion even at the very end of pregnancy when a woman was going into labor.

The bill is called the Repeal Act because it would remove all existing restrictions on abortion in Virginia. That includes permitting abortion in the last three months of pregnancy, eliminating informed-consent and clinic-safety requirements, permitting late-term abortions to be performed in outpatient clinics, and removing pro-life initiatives such as ultrasound requirements and the state’s 24-hour waiting period. It has the backing of Virginia’s Democratic governor Ralph Northam.

HHTM. I saw this too and just made a thread about it.

OMG. I ordinarily don’t get myself too worked up about the abortion issue. But wow. That is GUT WRENCHING. I felt sick. That legislator is childbearing age.

Thankfully no one actually wants to do that but it still shouldn't be legal

Can some libtard please explain the purpose of this?

And don’t give me the “life of the mother might be in jeopardy” crap. No one would be arrested or prosecuted for that even if there was some archaic law on on the books.

I just sincerely want to know what is the purpose of stretching the law this far and legalizing infanticide?

The only plausible reason for this bill is to set up a Roe vs. Wade test case on their terms. Same as New York. As soon as RGB kicks-offs RVW is going to get attacked from all angles.

Or they are just plain evil.

“Thankfully no one actually wants to do that”

I WOULD be thankful. But, I don’t believe your statement.

I dont know why you found this shocking. British medical ethicists have been arguing thay infanticide is no different than abortion for years.

The left wants to dehumanize and murder minorities, and abortion is their tool.

I think some of these people just can't see the forest for the trees. They are wrapped up in their "cause" to almost fetishistic levels.

It would be extremely rare for someone to choose abortion during labor.

That said I don't think that should be a legal option.

Some dude named Kermit Gosnell with dead babies (plural) in his freezer that he performed outside of a hospital on willing participants under no threat of duress other than a baby is alot of work would beg to differ.

Should be ok soon. Don't see much distinction between your suggestion and killing a baby about to come out of the birth canal.

Democrats want to kill babies, it’s nothing new. They are all vile, disgusting, violent pieces of human shite. Without exception.

Seems like you could just get a c section and save the baby. While i’d likd to see something even more restrictive, at a minimum SCOTUS should outlaws abortions beyond the point of 50/50 viability (around 25 weeks).
