He was talking about standing when Trump was announced and entered the room, you dumb fricking count. The Democrats largely remained seated. That is not something that happens “every year.”

Yes. I despised the depraved piece of shite named Joe Biden who was fraudulently installed as the leader of this nation, but I'd have at very least stood for his entrance, because I respect the office itself even if the occupant is illegitimate.
The only thing I saw them stand for at all, was when Trump first announced the presence of Melania and probably half of them rose. I'm sure they were torn deeply. On the one hand, recognizing Melania is recognizing Trump, but on the other hand refusal to recognize her is very public refusal to stand for a strong, intelligent, successful and beautiful immigrant woman. That had to be a complete mind frick.
