It was political. If Kyle does not get acquitted she walks. Some thinks we have to be balanced over being accurate.

I wonder if state/cities can put in some kind of civil penalties towards families of thugs that resist arrest and get harmed in some way. If the can sue on behalf of the thug then they can be sued by the cop.

Cops are human but the perps actions is the proximate cause.

All cops in this area should resign and let the jurors live with their actions.

I would have had the same thought the police officer did... which is to take out my taser. Not to shoot him with my firearm.

Why do you not understand that?

Umm you are the one excusing the actions here...

Bruh. Just stop in this thread. Your takes are horrific lily bad.

It’s clear you got your updates from CNN and not the actual trial.

You have been wrong with each post.

Get back to posting tax advice bc this case ain’t your strong suit.

Have to agree. They wanted to balance the scales. Is it right? Hell no. Give decisions to the North or California they can come up with some of the most idiotic ideas.

Not just now. We have always had legal charges available that doesn't require intent.

Please show me the evidence she intentionally disregarded the risk.

Again, that does not apply based on the laws she was charged under.

Meh. If you bother to read the law she was charged under... it's easy to tell what happened.

Actually you’re not looking at the whole picture. I hope you need the police one day and they are a little too late.

It's really dumb they convicted her when shooting this piece of shite would have been an appropriate and acceptable use of force in the situation. He was trying to drive of in a deadly weapon with multiple officers still partly in the vehicle. She's convicted purely out of politics

I'm so tired of vehicles being classified as a deadly weapon.

But an SUV just killed a bunch of people in Wisconsin, at least that’s what the media said

So just let him resist arrest and jump in a car that you don’t know if he could pull a firearm on YOU? Go watch Sesame Street. He frigging resisted. Can you get that in your brain?

As I said terrible decision by the Jurors. Yes it is firmly implanted in my brain.

I'm pretty good about gun safety, so I don't plan to ever be in the situation where I pull out my gun and shoot it without realizing I'm shooting my gun.

is this what it's come to, we just say words that mean nothing and make no sense to try and make your point? You look silly right now.

Baldwin shot her. It’s the same if you want to say I didn’t mean to as far as this case. Oops is what Baldwin said. Bet he does not spend one day in jail.
So uhh... What about we stay on topic and what about this case?

We always have, this is not new.

Doesn't have to be intentional, never has had to be.

Why would you say this when you're shown you don't even understand the law here by admitting you think it has to be intentional when it doesn't?

Nate The Lawyer — Kim Potter

Watch this video and get back to me.

Did the state prove she knowingly disregarded the risk she was creating?

If you fail any of the three tests you don’t have criminal negligence.

Just stop with these dogshit takes people.

They didn't need to. She didn't have to knowingly do it. It's been posted multiple times. Just because you don't want it to be true does not mean it's not true
