And according to MN law, she is guilty of what she is charged of.
Her actions were reckless. They might not have been intentional, but that's not required.

Because the criminal she shot was a criminal so mistakes don't matter.

How is she guilty of 1st and 2nd degree manslaughter?

What trial did you watch? It was not the same one as me.
The state invented a novel theory of recklessness in this case dude.

Speaking as an outsider to the case, if you will, it seems that pulling out your gun and shooting when you meant to pull your taser would be a reckless use of a weapon, no?

Normal people don't like criminals.
I realize blacks and you white Liberals love black criminals.

They system is fricked up that cops are fishing using paperwork violations. If we didn't live in an authoritarian police state none of this happens. So many "criminals" have committed crimes with no victims. Not saying this guy didn't commit any actual crimes with victims, but if he did he should have been held accountable for them then and not at a BS traffic stop.
You do realize many violent criminals are apprehended this way.
Ted Bundy was caught and arrested via what some may consider a “paperwork violation”.
You are so short sighted with this take dude.
The law of the road are absurdly low to follow.
Driving is a privilege not a right.

FU to whites from woke and other colors. .These thug motherfrickers can do anything they want. Better not have a white person confronting them. It will be racist. Also the fu5k was about to drive away, isn’t that harming a life considering he had to be resisting arrest, plus could have dragged them down the road and eventually killing them? That right there is enough to say I was fending for my life. Nothing you could have done to this bastard other that what she thought was right. Let’s say he drove away at high speed, is he a harm to other people’s lives? Yes he his. She should have not been convicted.

There was really nothing novel. Pretty cut and dry.

When a cop makes a mistake due to recklessness, the fact there is a criminal involved doesn't matter to me. Nor should it to you.

Yep... pretty cut & dry she was in her right to pull her gun and shoot
Her 1 mistake verbally stating her desire to use a taser
If she doesn't give a taser warning... this is a good shoot all day

Let’s see if you were to make a mistake during a actual heated situation not knowing what the other person is about to do next. Would you lay down and let him shoot you, or let him beat you? These cops do not have a clue what the person is about to do. You know the best thing to do? Comply. Do what they ask. It’s as simple as that.

Yeah absolutely not. At no point was her life in danger enough to shoot with deadly force.

You aren't wrong.
She made a mistake. Mistakes have consequences.
He made a mistake as well and he's dead because of it.

So you don't see trying to put a car into gear with 2 police officers dangling out of the car as a situation that warrants deadly force?
Ok sure

Clearly the police officer disagrees with you, since her intention was to pull the taser, not the gun. Followed by her reactions after she shot him.

Can someone explain what is in play here? The 1st degree is due to committing the crime of something like reckless handling of a weapon that is discharged and someone dies, is that correct or am I off base there?
Yet the left won’t apply that standard to Alec Baldwin.

The question there is... was he reckless? Maybe he was, and if he was, he should get charged.
Depends on the law where this happened.
