Really seems to there was no plan after the raid, now there’s a power vacuum and factions are going to jockey for position.

You missed the point.
The Pandora's Box is that "freedom" often never comes. It's just one revenge regime after another. This has been particularly common in South and Central America.

I’m not seeing the Pandora’s Box. Are things in Venezuela worse now, for America, than they were a few months ago? They appear to be better. And they are going to get even better when the Cubans leave because they are not getting paid.
