Maduro, yet another wannabe Latin American autocrat, checks most of the boxes to be another hero to the board. lol

Looks like he sent his thugs out today

In Coro, Falcón state, armed groups are threatening and intimidating peaceful gatherings, shooting in the air to disperse people in the streets. This serious act of intimidation occurred today, July 30, at around 12:25 p.m.

Did anyone expect something different than this to happen? The opposition had to know that Maduró will never give up power. Stealing elections is covered in Dictator 101.
His own supporters know he lost. They just don’t care. Power is everything.

It just seems the protesters are losing steam. I mean they are outgunned and are not organized. If not organized they can’t coordinate attacks on key items simultaneously. Just random attacks of opportunity.
Today the regime is arresting folks. And armed thugs are breaking up any gatherings. I have no idea where this ends but their people are trapped in a shithole country with little means to fight back.
Tonight will tell the tale. If there are less attacks then it might just fizzle. I hope not. Maybe they can fight for months and eventually get some weapons smuggled in. But without weapons all they have is numbers and banzai attacks.

It must be pretty insane to watch your entire political philosophy end in complete disaster every time it is implemented

Ok, I think they took a few hours break for the speeches and are now heading into round 2

What's insane is they will keep trying to make it work in another country.

They take siestas down there?
Has to be pretty damn warm mid day in Caracas.

What we're seeing in Venezuala has happened in numerous countries recently.
Right now as others have said this appears to be dying down. I think Maduro will hold on to power. He has the backing of several important nations.
Sad for the people there.
