And some here continue to lap it up!

quote:

January 6 committee’s first pair of public hearings have made abundantly clear, Donald Trump should never be allowed to hold power again given his propensity for lies and violence when things don’t go his way. Unfortunately, Trump is apparently strongly considering making another run for office, and while we don’t know exactly when it might happen, he reportedly wants to do it near Ron DeSantis’s house to rub the Florida governor and would-be contender’s nose in it. Yes, the presidential-ness just oozes!

Rolling Stone reports that Trump, unsurprisingly, would like to kick off a bid for the White House with a flashy rally, including fireworks, and not only wants to do it in Florida to “assert his dominance over an ascendant DeSantis” but has asked people if they know of venues near the governor’s Tallahassee mansion. Is he going to rent a skywriting plane and have it put a giant “F--k you, Ron” over the guy’s place too? Honestly, there’s truly nothing we should put past him. “One time that he did bring up the Florida [launch] scenario was quickly followed by him commenting on how terrible DeSantis was at public speaking and commanding an audience…[and that he’s] lacking in so much charisma and he’s so boring that Florida Republicans would leave Ron immediately for Trump [in a 2024 match-up],” a person who has spoken to the ex-president about DeSantis multiple times told Rolling Stone. The same person, and one other, also told the outlet that Trump has been telling people around him that the Florida governor is “overrated,” and that he would easily beat him.

They just don't get it .

Heard it from a friend who overheard a speaker phone call at a cafe in Luxembourg and I wrote it on a note

If they were not serious this would make pretty good satire because it's pretty funny.

Admins, please move this to the Movie/TV Board.

Let’s keep fiction where it was intended.

Ron would probably invite him over to make the announcement just so both of them can watch the media's heads explode.

Unless his opponent is Hillary Clinton Trump has no chance of winning. Let’s not forget even against Hillary who is an awful candidate Trump had to thread the Electoral College needle to beat her.

I hope this is an Uber Troll by Trump who is soaking up all this and they get to the final moment of decision schedule a huge announcement, have Trump come out, frick with Ron (friendly) verbally a bit, then have Ron come out, they hug and DJT announces, "This is the NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!"

The crowd would literally lose their shite. MSM and the left would be:

304 to 227 isn't really all that close. Better than W (either time), better than Carter in 1976. Almost the same as Nixon 1968 (although that was a 3-way race).

So, in over 50 years, 2016 wasn't the one-sided trouncing by Nixon in 1972, Reagan in 1984, but neither was it the close (Electorally) contest that 2000 or 2004 were. It was a comfortable, if not overwhelming, win in the EC.

Trump won the battle ground states by something like 75,000 votes total. It was very close. Much closer than the results of 2020.
