Local news is all I watch. I can’t stand the 24hr infotainment channels. Anyway, I’ve noticed a trend with my local channels here in Bham: incessant COVID vaccination stories. They literally tie it to everything. They even ran a story this AM about how singles are including vaccine status in their online profiles to get more dates. Another was about how women needed to help convince the men in their lives to get vaccinated because men are less likely to get vaccinated ESPECIALLY white, conservative men. They tend to be more susceptible to misinformation.

Is this a local trend? I hate it because my local news has been my only refuge from this shite.

The more they push the more resilient I become in my effort to not get the vaccine.

Yep. I couldn’t believe it. Some ‘health professional’ from UAB.

They didn't talk to my wife then. She informed me the other day that no one in our house would be getting it.

Psst...

You're no longer watching "Local" news.

Big Brother is feeding you the message through local sources to confuse and misinform you and at teh same time reeducate you.

Noticed this last night on the local news in Meridian, MS. It opens with vaccine stories and talked about the importance of getting them. Led off sports with a story about how vaccines were given at Texas Tech baseball games. They again talked about why we should be getting vaccinated. Finally, the last story was another vaccination story. So, yes local news is pushing this shite hard.

People always assume Birmingham is a conservative city since it’s located in Alabama, but it’s really not.

Have you ever been to the “free” store? I don’t know exactly it’s location, but it’s a legitimate Marxist training camp in Birmingham

The fact that the government is so eager to give me the vaccine makes me less likely to take it.

Local news is
predominantly Syndicated network news.

If you are lucky you will have 1 local independent news available. It will be readily apparent, low budget set, and far fewer "national" news features relying more on truly local/regional information self gathered.

Sinclair bought up a bunch in the last couple of years making it tougher to find true locals. That PO'd the SJW networks like CBS, NBC, ABC.

Although many people have received the COVID-19 vaccine, there are still some who just aren’t so sure. The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System (NF/SGVHS) wants you to be armed with the facts and confident that the vaccines developed to fight COVID-19 that have been shown to be both safe and highly effective at preventing the disease. Let’s debunk some myths.

MYTH: “You already had COVID-19 so you don’t need the vaccine.”

FACT: No, you should get the vaccine. While a previous coronavirus infection might prevent you from reinfection, experts are not sure how long this protection may last. When enough people are vaccinated against a disease, it is harder for the disease to spread. This “community immunity” prevents the virus from traveling easily from person to person.

MYTH: “You can stop wearing a mask once you’ve had the COVID-19 Vaccine.”

FACT: No, you still need to wear a mask. Getting the COVID-19 vaccine prevents you from getting sick but may not stop the coronavirus from entering your body. It’s uncertain whether people who have been vaccinated can still carry and transmit the virus. You still need to practice accepted COVID-19 precautions: keep your mask on and continue physical distancing when you’re out in public.

MYTH: “COVID-19 vaccines alter your DNA.” FACT: No, mRNA vaccines that protect us from COVID-19 do not alter DNA. Rather, these vaccines work outside of our cells’ nucleus (where our DNA is kept) and teach the cells how to make a protein that triggers an immune response. Your cells break down and get rid of the mRNA soon after they have finished using the instructions.

Now that the myths have been debunked, it’s time to schedule your COVID-19 vaccine.

I have had many vaccines. None of which work at a more ineffective way than what they are peddling.

All local news channels are owned by national corporations thus making them no different than the 24h news channels. Only stories that change from one city to the next is weather, local sports, and murder count.

It's nationwide.

Our local CBS stations (OKC and Tulsa), in particular, have become a mirror image of CBS national news. It's by design.

Since Bill Clinton ran for his second term, no liberal presidential candidate had won even a single county in Oklahoma, but last November Biden "won" both Oklahoma County and Tulsa County.

It's mass gaslighting, even on the local level, from sea to shining sea. We are living in an Orwellian nightmare... and over half of America is too stupid to see it.

Look, the media is all shite. Doesn't matter where. Most of the local outlets are owned by the large companies so they follow the same marching orders.

That being said, I'm tired of conflating this with the vaccine. The vaccine should not be political. The democrats made itpolitical back before the election.

Now they are in the Whitehouse and they want to take credit for it all. And you see biden doing this. Before dems didn't want to take it, now conservatives don't want to take it.

To be fair, some conservatives before were already distrustful because we have no trust in the government.

That all being said I have faith in Trump. He got it don't through his will.

That being said the distrust of the vaccine is interesting. In not sure I would get the Oxford vaccine. Every study it had released is questionable. It's efficacy is weak.

The j and j vaccine is better. It is safe but not as good as the two that are most feared on this board.

I would say over 95 percent of the docs at the major educational institute have taken the vaccine. That should tell you something. They also wanted their families vaccinated as well.

I understand doctors are bought and paid by the pharma companies. Interestingly I haven been on that list so I must be doing something wrong.

So I would suggest you all get vaccinated with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. However I would take the j and j if that is all they have.

That being said the worst thing to do is force people to get it. It will just make them dig their heels in harder.

So the government i is going to do what they do, and since the libs are in control the amount of control they want us more because they know what is best.

Me, heck I've been vaccinated. I'm pretty close to bullet proof from this thing. Just about everyone is vaccinated so they are covered.

You do what you want. But just take the static from the libs out of things and talk with a good doctor. Not one that agrees with your views. One that is respected by many in the know. They will almost uniformed tell you to get vaccinated.

The good thing about whatever crawls around in Birmingham .....they are surrounded by people with guns that know how to use the. Based on the hit versus shots fired ratio at the Galleria ....... the Birmingham population needs better firing range.

I'll see the sign tomorrow ...wonder what the murder count is now? Democrats killing Democrats while reducing the size of the black population ......Planned Parenthood still has them beat count wise.

Don't give a damn about racism. When you call your own family members and neighbors "N" inside your own homes and claim the word insults you...Ain't nothing more than pissing in the wind.
