Let the LIBS wear this issue out as well....
Racsim does not exist, it is only a ficticious product of the socialist government and the oligarchs that fund them.
I live in the deep south, and never see racists acts, never.
The only place it exists is on television and internet....and it is fabricated there aw well.

Let’s talk about “lacking access”.
On the topic of lacking access, why isn’t the V foundation pushing for cancer programs in rural areas? Think about how many farmers and such don’t go get screened because the nearest doctor or hospital is an hour+ away.

You darn well know that in 2021, when someone says racial disparity, that’s synonymous with systemic racism.
Racial disparity by definition isn’t synonymous with systemic racism. Racial disparity can be applied to any race for any statistic.
quote:
The assumption is that any disparity between 2 racial groups is “racial injustice” if it’s blacks on the negative side, and “about damn time” if it’s whites on the negative side.
You yourself is making this a us vs them game.
quote:
Unless this is a scientific inquiry about genetic causes of cancer, or cultural differences leading to the disparities, it’s not actually helpful to draw a distinction between these groups.
Yes it can be helpful to draw a distinction between groups because it can grow awareness between them. For instance there are tons of black people that just flat out don’t go to the doctor. If a black woman were to see she’s more at risk for let’s say breast cancer the outcome of her going to the doctor after seeing a particular article increases.

I’m talking to you, Democratic Party
Yuck please don’t compare me to them I hate them just like everyone else here.

To expect things to be the same related to biology across races isn't racist, it's retarded.
Non racists like most of us just expect certain communities to actually use all the extra tax money and advantages that are available to them and better their own outcomes instead of having advantages and still claiming victimhood

What part of simple facts do you disagree with?
Because of the implication that the disparate outcomes are because of racISM.
Lifestyle?
Genetics?
Health habits?
Those are whitey's fault?
Don't give me access to health-care. That is class/income rooted to the extent it even exists and this country has spent TRILLIONS of dollars on health insurance for the poor (regardless of race [although, blacks represent a higher percentage of population on MedicAid]).

I’m not sure why this pretty objective fact is triggering you enough to start a thread on it.
Aren't you part of the Vaxx Cult?
You people have been wrong on everything and have set medicine back 50 years.

I've read a lot of studies on this. It exists. It's caused by lifestyle and choosing not to get preventative healthcare. It is not because cancer doctors are racist, no matter what idiots that can't read a cereal box try to tell us.

They're probably going with the worn out line about blacks not having as much access to healthcare that whites do such worn out nonsense
Which is a bullshite narrative. They have better access than anyone to healthcare and are more often than not non-compliant!

The simple reality is that it’s not race but income based outcome coupled with education and support..
The government caused this problem but that’s the difficult and hard truth to swallow and fix so they simply blame race because its easier and more profitable to their cause

I would imagine it is actually a Vitamin D problem.... Dark skin does not metabolize it well. Vitamin D effects every aspect of health and recovery. Most Americans are deficient.
You can twist cancer recovery rates among the different races in a multitude of self serving ways.

I would not be shocked if there are racial disparities in medical outcomes, cancer or otherwise. If these disparities exist, the causes should be investigated. Is it an issue of geography, pollution, diet, access, lack of preventative care, consumer habits, work conditions, etc? A lot of things can show up as racial disparities that have nothing to do with melanin content or skin color but actually have everything to do with geography and socio-economic status due to African American population tendencies to be clustered in certain areas. A geographic disparity can often show up in statistics as a racial disparity. This is something that should be studied, but as long as everything is viewed through an “institutional racism” lens, researchers will struggle to find real reliable solutions.
