just remember: the person using the insults is admitting they're wrong.

Also remember: The person posting funny gifs, instead of an insult reply, realizes that some of you guys take this way too seriously.

Slander is "a false and malicious statement about someone."
First off, there is an old saying "One man's truth is another man's lie." The saying relates to a premise of subjective reality.

With that stated given, it is not the presence of a perceived slander within an argument that signals defeat. It is slander as the argument which conveys the message.

That’s a fallacy. You can completely win a debate using reason and logic AND call the person a name. It’s very possible. It is a tactic some people use when losing a debate but it’s not a hard rule.

Example:
“you’re wrong because of x, y, and z, you stupid bitch”—> not an admission of losing

If you just skip to “you’re wrong you stupid bitch” it CAN be an indication of losing the debate, but isn’t necessarily so. It could just be an accurate descriptor.

And it can be very funny, as seen with the old Akroyd and Curtain sketches on Saturday Night Live

There is one poster here who will make substantive arguments and throw in the insult “dummy”. I always read that as Fred Sanford talking to LaMont

Just log back into cuckeyes account or did that get perma banned?

is that who that alter is from? would make sense. poor displaced cuckeye

have not seen him since the election. what about roger the cucker? been gone also. oh well. many cucks could not handle it and quit. buckycheese quit also.

however i have to hand it to them as wrong as they were at least they had enough shame to stop embarassing themselves and quit.

dems here keep posting after completely being destroyed daily. VOR is prime example. either admit you were wrong or quit posting. VOR never admitting he was wrong is beyond embarrassing. yet he still posts. a huge flaming douche with no shame.

Once I do that its like I'm talking to a retarded Jordan Peterson.
Well, first we have to establish what you mean by “once.” Because “once” presupposes a temporal framework, and that’s already extraordinarily complicated. Then there’s “I,” which raises the question of identity and continuity of consciousness, and we haven’t even begun to define what you mean by “talking.” Talking to whom? In what sense? And then you invoke Jordan Peterson, but what precisely constitutes “Jordan Peterson”? The biological organism? The public persona? The archetypal representation of the overly verbose Canadian intellectual? These aren’t trivial distinctions.

Going after a man’s past transgressions is a thing. Not sure it’s a good thing. But it’s a thing. A thing often done here to “win”.

Roger was a really good poster at one time.

Watching him degenerate over time was truly something to see.
