There was no bird flu

Why and how do chicken farms hundreds of miles apart all of a sudden become bird flu positive? And why isn't my yard, fields, and pasture littered with dead robins, bluejays, blackbirds, owls, hawks, sparrows, etc. falling from the sky if bird flu is so contagious and deadly?

While the majority of those killed occurred during Biden’s presidency, the practice has continued since Trump took office and an estimated 13 million birds have been affected since February.

valid point. mass 'depopulation' is SOP.

Somebody mentioned the eggs it takes to make a wedding cake. Now egg prices need to come down but I’m willing to bet the “egg cost” of that wedding cake is an about like the salt cost for an early season crawfish boil.

Put off the wedding honey until we can afford the cake….right.

No crawfish boil this Easter….have you seen the cost of salt lately.

Come on Man.

Apparently Canadian Geese carry the virus as well.

But, the killing of chickens infected with avian flu, or in stocks where it was present, is known as a “stamping-out policy” and is followed by the USDA, which states there is no treatment for highly pathogenic avian flu and “the only way to stop the disease is to depopulate all affected and exposed poultry.”

It was primarily geese and ducks with avian flu. Chickens, as I hope you know, do not fly and are isolated from them.
This is bullshite.

Can you please cite the evidence of the danger of eggs from the slaughtered chickens?

BTW every new hen that hatches is one less egg to eat.

BTW, the eggs you buy from the store are not fertilized.

I think it’s like 6 to 9 months after it’s born before a hen can routinely lay eggs.

Chickens aren't born. They hatch from external eggs.

Give this another 5 to 6 months and everything will work itself out once new layers have matured and are laying again.

Exactly my point. A fertilized egg is subtracted from the number that go to groceries.

Never seen a waffle batter recipe that doesn’t require eggs. Though there is some shitty vegan “recipe” for everything these days.

You risk making the situation worse by leaving chickens who may not be sick but could be carriers of the virus and still spread it.

How about we just have two weeks to stop the spread.

FYI, your mask may be too tight.
