I'm not sure that Putin wants to resurrect the USSR because he's said many times that communism doesn't work. However, he definitely wants an authoritarian corporatist empire.

The Russians have been touting the "Kinzhal" as a "hypersonic" missile but it really just follows a ballistic path and most ballistic missiles go hypersonic in their reentry phase. They do not meet the current definition of hypersonic missiles (able to maneuver at hypersonic speed) and this is becoming apparent. The Kinzal aka Carrier Killer is just another propaganda Potemkin village.

I saw an image earlier associated with the is claim - and it looked like a nose cone with a hole punched in it.
If that is in fact their proof, it’s fake as frick.

I’m not buying it. Sounds more like we’ve developed a weapons system to take out hyper sonic missiles, but claiming “yeah we did it with this old ancient tech” to keep the Russians in the dark as long as possible. Hell I doubt the Russians even believe we did it with old tech
