What kind of threat was that maneuver supposed to be defeating?

I'm totally ignorant on naval operations, but to me that maneuver seemed way too slow to evade any kind of missile attack.

What else do the Houthi's have that can attack a nuclear aircraft carrier?

I’m assuming a ballistic missile, which have limited ability to maneuver and correct in the final stage of the attack.

I just sent it to someone who works for me. They were a crew chief in the Navy and worked on carriers.

How far over was the deck pitched to lose an aircraft?

We had a rather lengthy discussion with some front line insightful info provided. The gist of what I remember is a barrage of hypersonic missiles incoming. They would need to be stratified as they aren’t yet capable of targeting moving naval targets accurately but then, it turned out someone alluded we have defensive measures not made public that might frick them u long before those missiles get launched.

My Marine pilot buddy said he was launched into the ocean from his carrier because his wings were still in up position and had never given the signal to launch. He got back on board the ship and had an unfriendly discussion with the launching guy.
I'd call bullshite on that that pre launch protocol is very rigid and the cat shooter wouldn't have shot it.

One little tow tractor isn’t gonna stop a Super Hornet from sliding off the deck during a hard turn.

And yes we should annihilate
But we do need to control the straights
All of them

It wasn’t that long ago when pirates were making game from Somalia
I saw folks claim all traffic on seas worldwide was at the permission/ security of the us navy
