THIS is the most salient point of the Trump phenomenon. Nobody but Trump has addressed this problem - in fact, one could argue that the Obama-Biden administrations deliberately tried to hog-tie us in that regard.

I'm pretty sure the US is on the same path. We were a republic until 1913. Then the empire started. And now it's starting to collapse under the weight of corruption and ignorance.
