You keep saying "but Trump, but Trump!" Around half of conservatives were against all of that, and would have supported Trump if he stood against it.
Yet they support him while he supported it, and then claim it was only the "other side" who supported it while TRUMP did.

Love to see it!

According to your graph it looks flat. I do not see a fast decline.

Well, you should
America needs to stop giving those places our tax money, keep it here and take care of our own. Can’t wait until we have a president who puts Americans first.

You have no idea what inflation is, do you?

We never got whacked like some other European countries yet you’d think ours was the worst on the planet

Because most people aren't single-issue voters, and the alternative was Hillary who would have done the exact same thing anyways.

Not getting your reaction.
Imagine what Europes inflation would be if they had to fund their own military and the Ukraine war instead of depending on America. They are nothing but a shitty child who never gets off mom and dads tit.

I think it's just that white liberals love throwing Trump's name and blame for the Covid spending stimulus but they never mention the D led congress who pushed it. Also, there were a lot of Trump supporters against the stimulus. Bottom line is, we shouldn't have shut anything down at all.

Trumps money policies were the worst of any Republican president and only marginally better than Obama / Biden. I give him a D- to their F. His tax policy was infinitely better. He understood what generates economic activity and he improved our standard of living.
That said, the assumptions of Trump and Biden are completely different. Trumps policies elsewhere were unapologetically aspirational. The Democrats, combining money policy with interventionism/mass illegal immigration/ contempt for law enforcement/ Leftist urban ideology posing as policy etc are Declinist cheerleaders. I’ll happily take the incompetent planners on The Right over the ideologically- possessed anti- Americans on The Left.
Trading American traditions, principles and ideals for the monotone rhythms of Federal Reserve/ monetary policy primacy; Our Faustian bargain.

quote:What about the average 8% inflation from 2022, 4.7% from 2021. Inflation doesn’t reset when the gov prints a new CPI baw.
Its factually wrong. I posted a link at the bottom of the last page showing that if you include food and energy, the inflation rate is lower year over year.

Now do 2019 to 2023, and included everything people consume on a regular basis. No cherry picking
Homes
Autos
Insurance
Food
Utilities
Fuel
Then add in property and sales tax rate increases for good measure.

As of March 2023, the average price of a new car is $48,008, according to Kelley Blue Book.
Although the current average transaction price decreased by 3% from December 2022 to March 2023, it's still 27.8% higher than pre-pandemic prices.

This is one of those things where people with apocalypse fetishes proclaim the death of the dollar because of our inflation/printing and ignore literally everywhere else in the world. And someone can correct me, but the only reason Japan is lower than us is because they've been in a severe deflationary cycle for like 20 years, so I imagine their delta is bigger than our delta, too, but they started from a really low position.

I'm not sure what this graph is showing. Is it saying 4% per month, or is it arguing YTD 4% or 365 TD 4%?

Maybe ITD but anyone doing any sort of food shopping can see prices have skyrocketed.
