Why should the US taxpayers be forced to "grant" them money?
If we wanted to be done with grants in their entirety, I'd back that as a thing 100%. But as long as grants exist, and if we believe it's a good route to solve some problems, you can't really limit who has access to grants as long as they apply and meet qualifications.
I'd be fine with 0 federal grants. You think that's realistic? Heck, even states have to apply and receive grants as a part of certain transportation bills.

Why can't a 503c entity raise funds from private donors, only, without assistance from US taxpayers?
Or are you saying corporate entities and government entities have access to federal grants, but 503cs don't?

Paging Champaign.
Your spelling is terrible.
This is an example of how Congress spends our money while knowing that most of us would be against it. I don't think we can "vote" our way out of this kind of problem.
Once Islam reigns supreme over the USA, we taxpayers will no longer have to see our tax dollars spent on Christian Church initiatives. Islam will solve that problem for us, God Willing.

I am amused when you all try to separate this from the actual church.
I'll admit it's hard to, but it's not "run" by the Church. It's run by a federation attached to the Church. And CCUSA is a further arm of that.
And like most grand scale non-profit orgs, it's bloated, has different interests than the church, etc.
I know a lot of Catholic who straight up avoid giving to anything connect to CCUSA.

present.
It's been a quick minute since I've seen a Catholic bashing thread again
Although I haven't been looking for them.
I agree with your thoughts on this topic.
Others will not agree just because Protestants protest

Congress could pass legislation tomorrow limiting any taxpayer funded grants to medical or scientific research only…or however we want to restrict it.
The fact that we were basically paying for the immigrant invasion really pisses me off.

But the Jews!
As a former Catholic I can say that Catholics fricking suck and have handed our country over to immigrants. And they are a bunch of pedo brothers with the muslims.

you do realize that the United states is like 40-50% Protestant right?
Congress as a whole is like 50-55% protestant while Catholics are only around 20-30%.

You need to go watch some of the older clips of Ben Bergquam and Oscar Blue Ramirez when they were videoing/documenting the hoards of illegals heading to the US through the Darien Gap in Central America. There were numerous Catholic charities and the IOM (a UN agency) helping the caravans of illegals get through the Darien Gap.

Why the frick do religious groups get grant money? Really why do any non profits get government money?
The Catholic church was grifting government dollars long before the learing center and feed the children programs in MN.

Your ire is pointed at a non-dominant religion in the country, and not congress?
Progressive Democrats have less to do with immigration than Catholics?

100%. Would have to lower taxes and allow people to support non-profits to solve problems with their own dollars. This should be how we do it.
But government wants more control and power to a point. They want more of your tax dollars that THEY dole out and control.
Like Champagne said, we have to vote our way out of this. This is just smaller government. Our government doesn't want "smaller government."

This is the kind of nonsense that we see on a daily basis here on Tigerdroppings Political Talk.
No wonder why the USA's trend to the Left is unstoppable.

Yeah, I don't know why it would be controversial for a politically active person to write their Congressperson and insist that these particular taxpayer expenditures to religious organizations for these particular purposes is offensive and we want it stopped.

All churches and charities should be taxed
