When you’re this stupid, do you know you’re stupid or do you think you’re actually saying something intelligent? I’m genuinely curious to know.
Here is a test question….we import roughly $3.3 trillion in goods. Our deficit is $2 plus TRILLION. At what rate would we have to tariff imports to cover our deficit?
Bonus Question….would trade stay at the same level at the above tarrif rate?

He’s a true believer. He really believes everything Trump says no matter how asinine or detached from reality. I wish he was a troll but he’s not. He really believes that.

Our next president should give Elon the ICE migrant center lesson

Well our trade deficit has only increased since "liberation day". Tariffs don't seem to be working yet.

I’ve pondered this before. In general I think smart people realize they are smart and dumb people realize they are dumb. However, there is a subset on the scale that are so dumb they don’t realize they are dumb. Completely confident and always wrong. There’s a lot of those types in the MAGA cult

In the 2026 fiscal year, the U.S. shelled out more than $1.3 trillion in interest on the national public debt.
I think interest on the debt has a lot to do with the deficit. Only way to combat this is for the FED to get off the high horse and let the economy inflate naturally with a huge rate cut and I know that it may hurt some people with old money that live on interest alone, but at this point it may be our only option.

would you like to bet that the next 2 dem admins DON'T outspend him?
What is their plan, since you are voting for it?
Where do the returned illegals fit in?

Pretty much is, but it will be painful for everyone.

We haven’t raised taxes at all the federal level since 2000. We’ve added about $33 trillion in debt during that period.
We should try raising taxes and see what happens to the federal debt. Our annual deficits improved significantly when a portion of the bush tax cuts expired.
It is immoral to leave the next generation with the level of debt we have accumulated in the last 20 years.

Best way to solve the tax issue would be to eliminate all deductions and simplify the code.
We have so many loopholes that our tax code is like Swiss cheese.
Businesses should be taxed on revenue and not what the IRS or an accountant could pass as Profit as business deductions.
Individuals should still pay a tax on graduated rates based on income, but eliminate all deductions that complicate our tax code.
Plus, we need to decouple health care “insurance payments” and how it is deducted from your income.
