Not at all.

This is what happens when sheep are told to call everything racist. They always eventually end up looking really dumb.

You're so obviously a newbie around here, so let me help you out.

1. We have an immigration system and procedures set in place for LEGAL immigration. Let them use them! IF their commie system will allow.

2. Baseball skills aren't exactly high level ones essential to the advancement of our country.

3. I was born and raised in a communist shitehole, moron, and came here LEGALLY after waiting our turn in line and observing the rules of our new country. With no special favors or accords necessary.

You may sit down down!

How is this a good thing?

Especially at a time when one major player pipeline is falling apart due to political unrest (Venezuela).

Whatever happened to the yearly whine about this time of year about "there are not enough African Americans in baseball"?

which was ludicrous because they are right around their % of the US population, which isn't even the right denominator anyway because half the league is from Latin America.

I always chuckled that for the purposes of their whining Edgar Renteria did not count as a black guy.

Oh my, genius, do some reading on Africans in South America. Yeah, it's history and they may have skipped over that in your GED education!

Such pandering.

We've blocked out Cuba for 50 years and what do we have to show for it? They are no less communist today than they were 50 years ago. They pose no threat to themselves or anyone else. We treat North Korea better than we do Cuba.

Do the Cuban refugees that work at Mar-A-Lago really have that much impression on Trump?

Ah yes, another "conservative" who believes in large government controls and keeping people out who are simply trying to better themselves.

What do you suggest we do?

Any money or aid we send goes directly into the hands of the Castros and the Cuban regime.

Wait, you are Cuban!!!!!!

This makes so much sense now. I was trying to figure out why for 6 pages you had such a hard on against Fidel. I get it now. You got out, and you don't want anyone else to get out either.

Jesus. We all know women who make it to the top of companies do everything they can to stop other women from doing the same. We know Cubans do the same thing.

I get it.

Here's the deal - if people want to come here, they shouldn't have to escape and be a refuge (edit: refugee) to do so.

So WRONG!!!! Epic fail, go to the back of the line.

Oh, and we weren't refuges (things) we were refugees (people)! Spelling matters.

Sad to see this. Baseball has a good history when it comes to social progress. What a great chapter in history it would be if it turns out that baseball helps spearhead some much needed change in Cuba.

Just like the Chinese, the Saudis, the Iranians, the Venezuelans, etc.

What do I suggest we do? I suggest we do "nothing." Remove all artificial barriers and let the natural market do it's thing.

If a company wants to invest in Cuba, they will need to follow Cuban rules and understand the risks that entails. If they still want to do that, let them at it.

We have US companies doing business and traveling to all sorts of repressive hellholes. What's so special about Cuba?
