Because he's retarded. American companies couldn't sell shite in Europe ( especially Germany) because of the tariffs they impose on us and he's crying because he can't buy European goods for cheaper than domestic products.

I'm sure he's one of the first people to bitch about the deficit and the last to acknowledge those tariffs are reducing the deficit and the federal government operated at a surplus in June which would not have happened without the tariffs.

It's brain dead logic, if something doesn't immediately improve my personal finances, then it's not good for the country.

Compete mental retardation.

Trump is such a marketing genius, look at this MSN Headline

Trump reaches agreement with E.U. to lower tariffs to 15%

Lower them when there was none, all because he STARTED HIGH.

That strategy is in the book the "Art of the Deal"

Would have little opposition to more targeted tariffs. I don't like these blanket ones. A good deal could've been made with both sides going to zero on most things.

huh? How has that been the case? I cant even think of an example of that.

Exposed for.... supporting the concept of taxes? And i'm hypocritical if I don't support any form of taxation that they come up with? C'mon dude.

That wasn’t your original argument, though. You were arguing that tariffs equate to taxes and that you shouldn’t have to pay tariffs (taxes). When pressed for consistency, you admitted you’re for more taxes, or at least a supporter of current taxation rates.

Didn’t want to read 6 pages of leftist Wisconsin garbage to see if someone posted the deal so here it is:

Howard Lutnick
@howardlutnick

President Trump just unlocked one of the biggest economies in the world. The European Union is going to open its 20 Trillion dollar market and completely accept our auto and industrial standards for the first time ever. In addition, it will purchase $750 BILLION in energy from us and invest $600 BILLION in America.

Our Tariff will be set at 15% across the board.

Today is a historic day for U.S. trade and will strengthen our relationship with the European Union for decades to come.

$8 Bartemy
@BartemyS

E.U. trade deal:

All US products can go into Europe with a 0% tariff.

E.U. to purchase $750 billion of US energy (probably LNG), which also helps them not be dependent on Russia(double win).

E.U. to purchase large amount of US weapons

E.U. to invest additional $600 billion in U.S. above what they already invest.

E.U. products into U.S. will be at a 15% tariff.

Can Trump make good deals or what?

Now on to adjusting Canada and Mexico (who are under USMCA agreement) and then

China - The Big Kahuna

"We'll tariff you 15%"

"Outrageous, we will hit red states with retaliatory tarrifs"

"OK we'll do 50% then"

"Please no please!"

"OK how about 15%, plus you buy our energy and invest half a trillion?"

"What a bargain, where do I sign, what a fantastic beneficial deal"

This is brilliant. The $600 billion additional investment will be used to onshore jobs in the US to get around the 15% tariff. US wins either way. I’d expect Canada and Mexico to move quick. This also may screw China in Europe.

It's 100% winning. You just dont know what winning is anymore, if you ever did. Maybe its been too long and you are used to things the way they were. I dunno.

I mean how are these details NOT winning?

-$1.35 trillion in European investments and purchases of US energy and military equipment ($600 billion in investment and $750 billion in buying energy from the US).

-European tariffs on many US exports will drop to zero, European goods will face 15% duties.

-Brings much stability to the markets and relief for businesses trying to plan ahead

-Addressed the EU's trade surplus with the U.S ($236 billion by my count)

- For the US it equates to the expectation of roughly $90bn of tariff revenue into government coffers

Fairer trade deals are going to benefit morons too. Even if you don't deserve it.
