Would have little opposition to more targeted tariffs. I don't like these blanket ones. A good deal could've been made with both sides going to zero on most things.

he can't buy European goods for cheaper than domestic products.

huh? How has that been the case? I cant even think of an example of that.

Looking at your post history is hilarious. I think your brain would explode if you made a complete sentence.

First of all, tariffs are a tool, and there are some cases I agree with. This is an example of one I don't.

What you're talking about most likely is protectionism for a good the country produces. Like how we don't want cheap Chinese cars flooding our market. Fine. The goal with that isn't as much to raise revenue than to strongly deter the purchase.

This EU small enough that its not going to deter much consumer behavior, but's big enough to be annoying and unnecessary. Just a tax on the American consumer.
Exposed for.... supporting the concept of taxes? And i'm hypocritical if I don't support any form of taxation that they come up with? C'mon dude.

You don't realize that being called braindead by this cesspool is a high compliment.

Still waiting.
That's so dumb. I believe in the enumerated powers of the constitution.

Downvote that, bitches.

No one has attempted to answer my question. Why should I want a blanket 15% tariff on European goods?

Would this deal have been worse with reciprocal zero tariff on most goods?

Page after page. Downvote after downvote.

And no one touches the question.

Pussies.
I like taxes that are levied by legislatures, not the whims of a president who doesn't have that power without the advice and consent of the Congress.

So tariffs are retribution? that would make more sense

So you are saying tariffs are not taxes that get passed along to the consumer because of how grok answered your incredibly stupidly worded question? Who pays them?

The funny part would be asking y'all what you thought about tariffs 10 years ago.

You need grok to try to explain to you a simple economic concept?

Thanks for this fun anecdote. Want to explain to me why I should want 15% tariff on European goods?

That is a really stupid question.
As I explained in the other thread I am not completely opposed to tariffs. Targeted tariffs have use. China probably a net positive for geopolitical reasons. This is an example of one that i'm very opposed to.

I wouldn't say I want to raise corporate taxes, but I do wish more companies actually had to pay them instead of some sweetheart deal to avoid them.
