Once they were out of the monitoring program, they were never going back. Nice try, but it is more likely that the mullahs see nuclear weapons as their only hope for staying in power.

Too many redlines crossed with no repercussions. Unless things kick off, he gave the Persians false courage with promises of assistance. So many have now died

I can't even begin to explain how frustrating it would be if we walk away with some pointless nuclear/missile disarmament/ending funding for proxies deal that will never be honored

Iran is just dragging out talks while they continue to murder protesters and try to get more military assets in place.
The longer we drag this out, the worse it’s gonna be. They’re not going to agree to our terms and what terms they do agree to they won’t honor it. We missed our best opportunity to topple the regime quickly, the longer we wait the more likely we get bogged down over there. shite or get off the pot

Experience tells us that when a country survives decades of US sanctions their ruling class becomes a very hardened group of tough hombres. Look at Cuba as an example, or North Korea. The only way to beat them, at that point, is to use force. They are not going to surrender.

Iran is manipulating Witkoff the same way Putin has manipulated him. Of course the USA could just be stalling for time to get more assets in the area or trying to lull the Iranians a bit. After all Trump did say that the USA was open to negotiations just prior to operation midnight hammer.

1. I highly doubt a deal is made.
2. Israel is not bound by any deal with make. They will strike the Islamic regime. Don't know if it will be with air strikes or unconventional operations but they will strike. Question is will it be enough?

I believe much the negotiation track was because of Kushner. He’s tight with the Saudi’s and despite public posturing, the Saudis don’t want to see a strong Iran under the Shah or some other leader. They prefer a weakened Iran that is not a rival.
