University of North Carolina can consider race in admissions, judge rules

The ruling comes following a lawsuit filed in 2014 by the group Students for Fair Admissions, which argued UNC used race in its admissions process and that it intentionally discriminated against certain members based on race and other factors.
In the lawsuit, the group accused UNC of “employing racial preferences in undergraduate admissions where there are available race-neutral alternatives capable of achieving student body diversity,” and “employing an undergraduate admissions policy that uses race as a factor in admissions.”
In Monday’s ruling, Judge Loretta Biggs said UNC didn’t discriminate and said the university could continue to use race as a factor in its undergraduate admissions process.

"In 1964, Congress passed Public Law 88-352 (78 Stat. 241). The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. "

Thank God my kid already got in, but the truth is they look at race quite a bit already.
Lots of Asians got the middle finger from Chapel Hill the last two years because administration felt there were too many on campus already.

You can attempt to justify quotas, affirmative action, diversity, or whatever the cute new name is. But, you are a special kind of f*cking STUPID to even suggest that it isn't discrimination. It's GOVERNMENT SPONSORED DISCRIMINATION, but it's still DISCRIMINATION.

Liberals are allowed to discriminate against anyone they want on the basis of race as long as they do not actually admit that race was the determining factor. Conservatives are labelled as racist even if they prove beyond a shadow of a doubt their actions or decisions etc were not based on race. That is liberalism 101.
