I will ask him at our next Bible study session. Pretty sure you are wrong but I will ask your question straight up. Deal?

I just don’t see any equivalencies between two gay dudes living together and contributing to the Church in a positive way through music... and committing murder.

I’m sick of SJW shite as well, and honestly churches are fine doing whatever they want, but I’ve seen the UMC having a gay-friendly policy work out well. I don’t consider myself a part of the church or even Christian at this point, but I know how much that music program which was led by two gay men living with each other, did for my sister, and subsequently did to bringing my father close to the UMC and Christ for the first time since he left the Catholic Church in his 20s.

If you want that to be an “effed up narrative”, fine. I get it to a degree. This LGBT shite is getting exhausting and I am sick of pointless transgender shite encroaching on society and invading all facets of our lives for no reason. I just don’t see this situation that way, however.

I worry about the UMC that I attend. It is older, conservative and has debt....and not enough big guns to start a new church.

What a mess....

There is no doubt the UMC will go this way. They have become more and more liberal. Hence all the people leaving the churches nowadays. The Catholic church is going down this path with this disaster of a pope. Until the Catholic church wakes up they will continue to lose membership.

Just follow the Bible and it will lead you.

This.

Faithful Anglicans left in droves and consolidated multiple dioceses and parishes as an alternative to the dying radical, some would even call apostate and heretical, Episcopal Church.

Sola Scriptura strikes again.

Interesting take on the question. In this instance, I would think the matter is fairly cut and dried, IF you believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. If one doesn't then what is the substitute? Every man is his own moral authority.

I can't understand any church that believes the bible is full of flaws.

Why follow it at all then?

Those places do not produce committed Christians- they produce sjws because they mold the faith to what they want it to mean instead of the other way around

Man created the faith, should not man get to decide what it means?

There’s a lot of territory between ‘driving away’ and ordaining.

Well, they can make their choice and then they can take it up with God when the time comes. Sounds like leaders who are more concerned about their power then actually following the Bible.

Sounds like a church headed for a schism.

Hearing a bishop in Africa was bought of and won’t allow his church leaders to attend

That guarantees there won’t be enough votes to stop LBGT vote and our preachers will then have to marry gays.

They won’t, and then the church will split

That’s from the inside scoop I’ve got

Money comes from DNC to buy the demolition of religion. They must eliminate God

Does the Southern Methodist Church still exists? It spun off from UMC a long time ago. There used to be one nearby as recently as 15 years ago but it closed.

I’m 37 and have been an Episcopalian all my life. Having kids and becoming aware of the world we live in has me finally questioning shite. I used to think the “we welcome all” attitude of the Church was a good thing. Now I’m not so sure.

I don’t disagree, I just think it might be hard for all of this not to result in that.

I was born and raised Roman Catholic. Have fallen away from the church the last 10 years. Was thinking of going to a UMC church. I guess that’s not going to happen looks like Eastern Orthodox is the only viable option.
