The daughter of one of my childhood friends is a dancer in New York. She tried to audition for that show and was turned away because she was white.

This is one time that I can see gender and race playing a role in hiring.
First off, if I was casing the play Romeo and Juliet, wouldn't it be natural for me to look for a man and woman for each part? (For goodness sakes spare me the tranny arguments, you known damn well what I mean. Romeo will be played by a male actor and Juliet by a female actress unless we are doing some super duper experimental version will all men or all women or something).
Same thing with casting.
What is your favorite TV show featuring a married couple?
If they wanted to cast a son or daughter for the role of long lost son and daughter, wouldn't they case race accordingly?
I mean, Blackish is never gonna have white kids in the family.

So, what about all the cry babies in Hollywood that argue otherwise? You know, the whole black Annie, black and or gay James Bond crowd who just can't stand to see another white casted.
